Abu Dhabi police warn against throwing waste from vehicles
The General Command of the Abu Dhabi Police, in collaboration with the Monitoring and Control Center, emphasized the importance of drivers and road users adhering to civilized behaviours that reflect the bright image of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, advocating to avoid throwing waste from vehicles while driving in order to preserve the environment, public health and urban appearance of the Emirate.
It was clarified that throwing waste from vehicles constitutes a traffic violation according to Article (71) of the Traffic and Traffic Law, it involves a financial violation of (1000) dirhams and registration of (6) traffic points for the offending driver.
Drivers urged their escorting passengers to be aware of the necessity of disposing of waste and waste in their designated places, adhering to positive practices that contribute to promoting environmental safety and maintaining public cleanliness, emphasizing that this negative behaviour leads to environmental pollution and damage to the urban appearance of the Emirate.
She emphasized continuing her awareness efforts to promote a culture of community responsibility among road users, and limiting uncivilized behaviours committed by some drivers as a result of negligence or indifference, which have negative effects on the environment and quality of life.
