Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has intensified its nationwide crackdown on illegal and unethical digital content, blocking over 1.4 million web links and URLs. The highest number of blocks were reported on TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram, targeting obscene, immoral, anti-state, religiously offensive, proxy, and hate-based content.

According to reports, TikTok faced the strictest action with a 94% blocking rate, followed by Instagram and Facebook. Authorities say the move aims to promote ethical digital usage and curb the spread of unlawful material across social media platforms.
