Every day, the news is filled with tragedy reports of killings, theft, kidnappings, and violence. Innocent lives are lost to gunshots, and horrifying crimes continue, including witch doctors committing atrocities against young girls, and pregnant women.

But aren't we tired of being in the headlines for all the wrong reasons? Isn't it time we rethink our path and work towards something better?

Is it too much to dream of a peaceful nation, thriving communities where love and unity lead the way? We travel to smaller countries and marvel at the serenity, their youth envisioning and innovating for a brighter future, their citizens actively shaping livable societies, welcoming visitors, and attracting residents eager to build lasting lives.

The truth is, no one will fix Nigeria for us. This country belongs to us, and we hold the power to restore safety in our communities. We can create an environment where visitors feel secure, where businesspeople and investors see opportunities to thrive while generating jobs.

Yes, the government has failed us. But we are also failing ourselves if we resign to despair. Now is the time to reclaim Nigeria, to foster peace, embrace progress, and actively make our communities livable again. The responsibility lies with us. If we want a better nation, we must be willing to build it.
