Some people are like birds. 🐦⬛🐦⬛🐦⬛
You see them struggling, wings broken, spirit tired, life weighing them down. And because you have a good heart, you step in. You help them heal. You support them when they can’t support themselves. You give them advice, encouragement, opportunities, sometimes even sacrificing your own time, energy, and peace.
You help them fly.
You carry their weight when they can’t carry it.
You believe in their potential more than they believe in themselves.
But the moment their wings get strong,
The moment they rise,
The moment they break free and start enjoying the sky,
They forget who stood by them when they were on the ground.
They forget the hands that lifted them up.
And once they’re high enough, they s**t on you, with disrespect, with ingratitude, with betrayal, with lies, with silence, with attitude.
It’s a sad reality:
Not every person you help will appreciate your help.
Some will use you.
Some will drain you.
Some will outgrow you and pretend they never knew you.
Some will even act like you were the burden when you were the blessing.
But here’s the truth you need to hold close to your heart:
Their behavior doesn’t define your character. Your kindness is not the problem, your boundaries are.
So keep being kind, but stop being blind.
Help people, but don’t lose yourself in the process.
Give, but don’t give so much that you run empty.
Support others, but learn when to step back.
Learn who deserves your wings, and who only wants to borrow them.
Because when you help someone fly, you shouldn’t end up the one getting hurt.
Protect your heart.
Protect your peace.
And never apologize for being kind, just be wiser about where you place it. 🤝✅
