ITO TALAGA. Crispy outside, soft inside, super flavorful 🤤
Hindi pwedeng hindi niyo to orderin!!

🥈 Pork Siomai (4 pcs) (not halal)
Hindi tinipid — legit pork, juicy, hindi puro harina 👌

🥉 Wanton Noodle Soup — 9/10 🍜 (Not Hallal)
Clean yung lasa ng sabaw, hindi artificial 👍 comfort food vibes

🏅 Chicken Chops with Rice - 9/10
Crispy + mabango yung timpla, very authentic taste 🇹🇼

Kung naghahanap kayo ng unique na food destination sa Marikina, baka magustuhan ninyo itong 1950s-inspired Filipino restaurant na pinuntahan namin.

Pagpasok pa lang, ramdam mo na agad ang historical at magical atmosphere ng lugar. Para siyang pinaghalong old Filipino charm at Ghibli vibes—perfect para sa mga fans ng Howl's Moving Castle! ✨🏰

Nag-enjoy din kami sa kanilang freshly baked pandesal, everlasting, all-day breakfast meals, batirol, lumpia, at p**o bumbong. Ang highlight para sa akin? Yung relaxing ambiance at pagiging affordable ng food habang nagbibigay pa rin ng unique experience.

May museum din dito ng Chess Master na si Eugene Torre, kaya hindi lang food trip ang mae-enjoy ninyo. ♟️

Overall, isa ito sa mga lugar na babalikan ko kapag napadpad ulit ako sa Marikina. ❤️

Here’s my honest review after trying some dishes at Izikaya Tori in Makati 🍣

✨ What we ate:

They currently have a promo on sushi rolls, with some options down to just ₱199 — super sulit!

🍣 Toriichizu Roll (₱199)
Slightly spicy with generous pieces of salmon. The sauce really stood out—sobrang sarap.
Rating: 11/10 🔥

🍣 Salmon Tartar Roll (₱199)
I’ve been craving salmon lately, so I had to try this. Fresh and well-balanced flavors—definitely satisfying.
Rating: 10/10

🍚 Katsudon
The sauce leans slightly sweet with a bit of saltiness, so balanced naman overall. A pretty standard katsudon.
Rating: 8/10

🍜 Shoyu Ramen + Chashu (₱300+)
It was okay—nothing too special for me. Maybe I just ordered the most basic option.
Rating: 6.5/10

Overall, the sushi rolls are the highlight here 👌 Worth visiting especially while the promo is ongoing!

Bali Food Recommendations | Ep. 5
📍 Warung Local – Uluwatu, Bali

Aside from Satu, this is one of my favorite warung in Uluwatu. If you’re looking for affordable, masarap, and sulit food in Bali, this place is a must-try.

Their setup is similar to a carinderia or DIY food station, where you can choose from different local dishes, appetizers, and mains. They also offer free crackers with sauce and vinegar, which is a nice extra while waiting for your food.

What we tried:

• Pancake Stack – 9/10 | 45,000 IDR
Fluffy and very generous serving. Perfect if you love breakfast meals. Definitely sulit for the price.

• Smash Avocado – 8.5/10 | 50,000 IDR
Served on sourdough toast with fries. The toast was slightly hard, but overall the flavor is good and the serving size is enough for two people. The fries were also really good.

Overall, Warung Local is a great option in Uluwatu if you want budget-friendly food with good portions and local dining experience.
