One year ago, I packed up my life with my husband and 2 cats and we moved to Dubai.
Since then, I’ve experienced some incredible highs, some unexpected lows and plenty of moments that have pushed me outside of my comfort zone.
This year hasn’t looked exactly how I imagined it would. There have been chapters I would have happily skipped and lessons I didn’t realise I needed to learn. But through it all, Dubai has given me opportunities, friendships, experiences and perspectives that I will always be grateful for.
I’ve learnt that home is something you create. That growth often comes from uncertainty. That looking after yourself matters. And that sometimes the things that don’t go to plan end up taking you exactly where you’re meant to be.
Dubai isn’t perfect, but this city has challenged me, inspired me and changed me in ways I never expected.
Here’s to one year of calling this place home 🇦🇪✨
