Here’s what is known about the kidnapping of Fish Magnet (Ifesinachi Onyekere), based on multiple recent reports:

Location & Time: On Saturday night, armed men stormed his residence in Ezinifite Village, Okpuno, a suburb of Awka in Anambra State .

The Abduction: The assailants—arriving in an ash‑coloured Lexus SUV—besieged his compound around 10:30 p.m., shot him in the leg, and forced him into his own navy-blue Toyota Corolla. He was then driven off via bush paths toward Nawfia, evading security forces .

Outcome: Despite reports that a ransom was paid, Fish Magnet was later found dead. His death generated widespread outrage, with public figures like social media activist VeryDarkMan (VDM) openly mourning him and pledging to visit Anambra for a candlelight procession on August 4th .

In short: Fish Magnet was kidnapped in a violent home invasion, wounded, and abducted. Even after a ransom was reportedly paid, he was ultimately killed.
