SERMON: “THE LORD WILL FIGHT FOR YOU”

Text: Exodus 14:14 (KJV)

> “The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.”

Theme: When You Cannot Fight Your Way Out, Let God Fight for You

Introduction

There are moments in life when we find ourselves trapped between what is behind us and what is before us.

Israel stood at the Red Sea. Behind them was Pharaoh and his army. Before them was an impossible sea. They had nowhere to run and no human strength sufficient to save them.

But Moses gave them a powerful word:

“The LORD shall fight for you.”

Their victory would not come because they were stronger than Pharaoh. It would come because God was fighting on their behalf.

1. GOD CAN MAKE A WAY WHEN THERE SEEMS TO BE NO WAY

Israel looked at the Red Sea and saw an obstacle.

God looked at the same sea and saw an opportunity to demonstrate His power.

Sometimes what looks like a dead end to you is an opportunity for God to reveal Himself.

You may be facing a situation where you are saying:

“I don't know what to do.”

“I don't see a way out.”

“Everything is against me.”

“I have tried everything.”

But God is not limited by what you can see.

The Red Sea was not the end of Israel's story. It became the road to their freedom.

2. YOU DON'T HAVE TO FIGHT EVERY BATTLE YOURSELF

Moses said:

“The LORD shall fight for you.”

This does not mean we never take action. It means we recognize that some battles are beyond human strength and require divine intervention.

There are battles that money cannot solve.

There are battles that connections cannot solve.

There are battles that arguments cannot solve.

There are battles where your greatest weapon is trusting God.

When you have done what God has instructed you to do, there are moments when you must stop trying to control everything and allow God to work.

3. “HOLD YOUR PEACE” IS AN ACT OF FAITH

Moses didn't tell Israel to panic.

He told them to hold their peace.

Peace does not mean there is no problem.

Peace means you trust the One who is greater than the problem.

You can face a storm and still have peace.

You can face uncertainty and still have faith.

You can cry and still believe.

You can be surrounded by opposition and still say:

“My God will make a way.”

4. GOD KNOWS HOW TO DEAL WITH YOUR “PHARAOH”

Pharaoh represented the force trying to keep Israel in bo***ge.

But God had already determined that Israel would be free.

Your circumstances may tell you, “You will never get out.”

But God's purpose says, “You are coming through.”

The enemy may pursue you, but he does not have the final word.

God has the final word.

5. YOUR RED SEA CAN BECOME YOUR TESTIMONY

Imagine what happened after Israel crossed the Red Sea.

The place where they thought they would die became the place where they witnessed God's power.

Your greatest struggle can become your greatest testimony.

The place of your tears can become the place of your praise.

The door that seemed permanently closed can become the place where God demonstrates that He is still God.

Powerful Declaration

I will not be destroyed by what I am facing.
I will not be controlled by fear.
I will not surrender to hopelessness.
The Lord is fighting for me.
He will make a way where there seems to be no way.
My Red Sea will not be my grave; it will become my pathway to victory.
I will trust God, I will hold my peace, and I will see the salvation of the Lord!

Conclusion

Beloved, if you are standing before a Red Sea today, don't conclude that your story is over.

The same God who opened the sea for Israel is still able to make a way.

You may not know how He will do it.
You may not know when He will do it.
But you can know WHO will do it.

THE LORD WILL FIGHT FOR YOU.

And when God fights your battle, your responsibility is to trust Him, obey Him, and hold your peace.

> “When your strength ends, God's power begins; when you cannot make a way, God can open the sea.”

SERMON: A NEW CREATURE IN CHRIST

Text: 2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV)

> “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”

Theme: From the Old Life to a New Life in Christ

Introduction

There are moments in life when we wish we could erase the past—our mistakes, failures, disappointments, sinful habits, and painful experiences. But the good news of the Gospel is that God does not merely repair the old person; He makes us new in Christ.

Paul declares, “If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature.”

This means your past does not have the final word. Christ does.

---

1. “IF ANY MAN BE IN CHRIST” — THE SOURCE OF THE CHANGE

The Bible does not say that becoming a new creature comes from education, wealth, success, or self-improvement.

It says: “If any man be in Christ.”

True transformation begins with a relationship with Jesus Christ.

You can change your clothes and still have the same heart.
You can change your location and still carry the same character.
You can change your appearance and still carry the same bo***ge.

But when Christ enters your life, He begins changing you from the inside out.

John 1:12 reminds us that those who receive Christ become children of God.

The greatest change is not what happens around you—it is what Christ does within you.

2. “HE IS A NEW CREATURE” — GOD GIVES YOU A NEW IDENTITY

Paul does not say, “He is an improved creature.”

He says, “He is a new creature.”

In Christ, you are no longer defined by:

Your past failures

Your former sins

Your family history

People's opinions

Your disappointments

Your former identity

Your identity is now connected to Christ.

The enemy may remind you of who you were, but God reminds you of who you are becoming in Christ.

You may have a past, but you also have a new identity.

3. “OLD THINGS ARE PASSED AWAY” — LET THE PAST GO

This is one of the most powerful parts of the Scripture.

“Old things are passed away.”

Sometimes God has already opened a new door, but we keep trying to live in the old room.

You cannot fully embrace the new while constantly holding onto the old.

The old life may include:

Sinful habits

Bitterness

Unforgiveness

Fear

Shame

Destructive relationships

Wrong thinking

Spiritual complacency

Christ calls us to leave these things behind.

Isaiah 43:18–19 says:

> “Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing...”

God is saying: Don't allow yesterday to prevent you from seeing what I am doing today.

4. “BEHOLD, ALL THINGS ARE BECOME NEW” — EXPECT GOD TO TRANSFORM YOUR LIFE

The word “behold” calls our attention to something remarkable.

Look!

Pay attention!

God is doing something new.

When Christ transforms you, He begins transforming:

Your mind.
You begin thinking differently.

Your heart.
You begin loving differently.

Your speech.
You begin speaking differently.

Your priorities.
You begin valuing what God values.

Your relationships.
You begin treating people differently.

Your purpose.
You begin asking, “Lord, what do You want me to do?”

Romans 12:2 teaches us that transformation is connected to the renewing of our minds.

5. YOUR PAST IS NOT YOUR DESTINY

Maybe someone has told you:

"You will never change."

Maybe you've made mistakes that you regret.

Maybe you've fallen more than once.

Maybe you look at yourself and wonder whether God can still use you.

2 Corinthians 5:17 says YES.

If you are in Christ, your past does not cancel God's purpose for your life.

Peter denied Jesus, yet Jesus restored him.

Paul persecuted the church, yet God used him to preach the Gospel.

Your failure may be part of your history, but it does not have to become your destiny.

6. A NEW CREATURE MUST WALK IN THE NEW LIFE

Being made new is not an excuse to continue living the old way.

Ephesians 4:22–24 teaches believers to put off the old man and put on the new man.

God gives you a new identity, but you must learn to walk according to that identity.

Don't keep returning to what Christ delivered you from.

Don't keep feeding what God is trying to kill.

Don't keep rebuilding what God helped you tear down.

Walk in your newness.

THE MESSAGE OF THE CROSS

The cross reminds us that Jesus took our old life upon Himself so that we could receive His new life.

He took our sin.
He took our shame.
He took our condemnation.

And through faith in Him, we receive:

Forgiveness.
Grace.
A new identity.
A new purpose.
A new beginning.

That is the power of the Gospel.

CONCLUSION

2 Corinthians 5:17 is not simply a promise about your future.

It is a declaration about who you are in Christ.

You are not what you used to be.

Your mistakes are not your identity.

Your failures are not your final chapter.

Your past is not your master.

You are a new creature in Christ.

The old has passed away.

A new life has begun.

DECLARATION

“I am in Christ.
I am a new creature.
My past does not define me.
Old things have passed away.
I will not return to what God delivered me from.
My mind is being renewed.
My heart is being transformed.
My purpose is being restored.
I will walk in the newness of life.
I am becoming all that God has called me to be.
In Jesus' name, Amen.”

Powerful closing statement

“You may remember your past, but God has given you permission to walk into your future. In Christ, your story did not end with what happened to you—it began with what Christ has done for you.”

Sermon Title: WHEN JESUS SPEAKS, BO***GE MUST LEAVE

Text: Matthew 8:16–17

Introduction

Matthew 8:16–17 shows us something powerful about the ministry of Jesus: His presence brings freedom, and His word carries authority.

People brought those who were oppressed and sick to Jesus, and He dealt with their conditions. The passage points us to the prophetic fulfillment that Jesus would bear our infirmities and sicknesses.

The message is simple: Jesus is not intimidated by what has intimidated you.

1. Bring Your Situation to Jesus

The people in this passage did not keep the afflicted hidden. They brought them to Jesus.

There are situations we cannot solve by human strength. But what we cannot change, we can place in the hands of Christ.

Bring Him your fear.
Bring Him your pain.
Bring Him your family.
Bring Him your impossible situation.

2. Jesus Has Authority Over Darkness

The Bible says that Jesus cast out the spirits with His word.

He didn't need complicated methods. His word was enough.

When Jesus speaks, darkness has to respond. When Jesus speaks, chains can break. When Jesus speaks, hope can rise again.

3. His Power Is Still Relevant Today

Matthew 8 is not merely a record of what Jesus did in the past. It reveals His character and authority.

The same Christ who demonstrated authority over sickness and spiritual oppression is the One we continue to trust today.

Your situation may look impossible, but impossible situations do not limit the authority of Jesus.

4. Don't Let Your Situation Have the Final Word

Your circumstances may speak fear.
Your past may speak failure.
People may speak limitation.

But there is a higher voice—the Word of God.

Choose to believe what God has spoken above what your circumstances are saying.

Powerful Quote

> “When Jesus enters your situation, no bo***ge is too strong, no sickness is beyond His power, and no darkness can resist His Word.”

Conclusion

Matthew 8:16–17 points us toward the compassionate and powerful ministry of Christ.

So today, don't give your situation the final word.

Let Jesus speak.
Let faith arise.
Let hope return.
Let chains break.
Let Christ have the final word.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, I bring every impossible situation before You. Let Your Word speak into every place of bo***ge, pain, fear, and darkness. Strengthen our faith and help us trust Your authority. Let Your presence bring freedom, healing, restoration, and hope. In Jesus' name, Amen.

I CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST

Text: Philippians 4:13 (KJV)

> “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”

Introduction

Paul was not saying that life would have no difficulties. He was declaring that whatever situation he faced, Christ was his strength. The same Christ who strengthened Paul is able to strengthen us today.

1. Your Strength Comes From Christ

The verse says, “through Christ.”
Our confidence is not in our own ability, connections, money, or circumstances. Our strength comes from Jesus.

When you feel weak, remember: you don't have to carry everything by yourself.

2. You Can Face Difficult Situations

Paul learned how to live in abundance and in need. He understood that circumstances do not have the final word.

You may be facing rejection, financial difficulty, opposition, or uncertainty—but your present situation does not determine your future.

3. Christ Gives You Strength to Keep Going

Sometimes God's strength does not mean removing the mountain immediately. Sometimes it means giving you the grace to climb it one step at a time.

When you want to give up, Christ says, “Keep going.”

4. Believe Before You See

Faith says:

“I may not see the way, but I know Christ is with me.”

The power is not simply in saying, “I can.”
The power is in saying, “I can through Christ.”

Conclusion

Whatever you are facing today, don't allow fear to define you.

Through Christ, you can stand.
Through Christ, you can endure.
Through Christ, you can overcome.
Through Christ, you can keep moving forward.

Your strength has a source—and that source is Christ.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, strengthen me where I am weak. Give me courage when I am afraid, faith when I cannot see, and grace to keep moving forward. Help me remember that I can face every challenge through You, because You are my strength. In Jesus' name, Amen.

BECAUSE HE HAS SET HIS LOVE UPON ME

Text: Psalm 91:14–15 (KJV)

«“Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.

He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.”»

Introduction

These verses reveal the heart of God toward those who truly love Him and trust in His name. God does not only promise to be with us in good times—He promises to stand with us even in the midst of trouble.

1. Love for God Brings Deliverance

God says, “Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him.”

When our hearts are genuinely committed to God, we can trust Him to deliver us from situations we cannot handle by ourselves. Your trouble may be great, but your God is greater.

2. Knowing His Name Gives Us Confidence

God says, “I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.”

To know God's name is to know His character, His power, and His faithfulness. When you know who God is, you don't have to be controlled by fear.

3. Call Upon Him

The Bible says, “He shall call upon me, and I will answer him.”

Prayer is our connection to God. When you call upon Him sincerely, He hears you. His answer may come differently from what you expect, but He never abandons His children.

4. God Is With Us in Trouble

Notice that God does not say we will never face trouble. He says, “I will be with him in trouble.”

The greatest promise is not merely that trouble will disappear—it is that God will be present with you while you go through it.

Conclusion

Whatever you are facing today, remain in God's presence. Love Him, know His name, call upon Him, and trust His promises.

He will answer you.
He will be with you.
He will deliver you.
And He will honour you.

Prayer

Father, help us to set our love completely upon You. Give us grace to know Your name, trust Your Word, and call upon You in every situation. Be with us in our troubles, deliver us from every evil, and let Your honour rest upon our lives. In Jesus' name, Amen.
