Here’s a simple everyday thinking game for your little learner.

Imagine three kinds of weather:

☀️ A hot, sunny day
🌧️ A rainy day
❄️ A cold, snowy day

Now look at a sun hat, rain boots, and a warm winter coat. Ask your child which item they would choose for each kind of weather—and why.

There’s more learning in the “why” than getting the answer right. Talking through their choices helps children connect what they see outside with everyday decisions.

Milo the little fox was ready for bed, but something felt strange—the Moon hadn’t yawned yet!

So Milo peeked outside and whispered, “Moon, aren’t you sleepy?”

The Moon smiled. “I am, but I’m waiting for you.”

Milo gave one enormous yawn. The Moon gave an even bigger one. Soon, the little owl yawned, the bunny yawned, and even the sleepy trees seemed ready for rest.

Milo giggled, tucked himself under his blanket, and closed his eyes.

“Goodnight, Moon.”

“Goodnight, Milo.” 🌙✨

One Day, Your Child Will Stop Asking You to Play… ❤️“Mommy… can you play with me?”

Sometimes we’re working.

Sometimes we’re exhausted.

Sometimes there are dishes to wash, laundry to fold, messages to answer, and a hundred other things waiting for us.

So we say…

“Just five more minutes.”

Five minutes doesn’t sound like much.

But childhood is made up of thousands of little moments just like this.

One day, the toys will be packed away.

One day, they’ll become more independent.

And one day, you might miss hearing that little voice asking:

“Can you play with me?”

So when you can, close the laptop. Put the phone down. Sit on the floor and play the silly game.

The work can wait.
The chores can wait.
But childhood can’t. ❤️
