Most businesses think running Meta Ads is all about choosing the right audience or creating a beautiful ad.
But today, while setting up a campaign, I was reminded of something many advertisers overlook:
👉 **The "Buying Type."**
Meta gives you two options:
• Auction
• Reservation
At first glance, it looks like just another setting.
But it's actually a business decision.
Think of it this way...
**Auction** is like booking a ride through a taxi app. You request it when you need it, compete in real time, and pay based on demand. It's flexible, cost-effective, and perfect for businesses focused on leads and sales.
**Reservation**, on the other hand, is like booking a billboard months in advance. You secure your space, know what you're paying for, and focus on maximum visibility.
Here's the interesting part:
Most small businesses don't need Reservation.
If your goal is to generate inquiries, appointments, or sales, **Auction is usually the smarter choice.**
Sometimes, better results don't come from increasing the budget.
They come from understanding the settings you're already using.
Digital marketing isn't just about running ads.
It's about making the right decisions behind the scenes.
What's one Meta Ads setting that confused you when you first started?
Let's discuss in the comments. 👇
