A massive fire engulfs the Wang F*k Court residential complex in northern Hong Kong, marking one of the city’s worst incidents in decades.

The death toll rises to 44, with more than 270 people still missing, as rescue operations continue inside the damaged towers.

Authorities evacuate hundreds of residents and report extensive destruction across 7 of the 8 residential blocks.

Three renovation company officials are arrested on charges of gross negligence; external scaffolding is believed to have accelerated the spread of the flames.

Firefighting and rescue teams continue operations amid heavy smoke and major logistical challenges in reaching the upper floors.

Multiply Media Group has acquired 100% of London Lites, taking control of 65+ premium digital signs across central London and creating one of the city’s top DOOH networks under Backlite UK.

The deal brings flagship sites like The Cube on Oxford Street, plus London Lites’ sales team, infrastructure, and growth pipeline. MMG says the integration will boost efficiency and EBITDA across its UK portfolio.

UK OOH is booming, hitting a record $1.71B in 2024. DOOH makes up 66% of spend, with 98% of residents seeing OOH weekly — strong momentum for MMG’s global expansion strategy.

Within 24 hours of launch, Google’s Gemini-powered coding tool Antigravity was found to have a severe security flaw. Researcher Aaron Portnoy showed that malicious code could create a persistent backdoor on a user’s computer.

Portnoy says the attack worked on Windows and Mac and could let hackers spy or run ransomware. Other researchers have reported additional vulnerabilities, raising concerns that AI coding agents are being rushed out without proper security testing.

Google is investigating but hasn’t released a patch. Portnoy warns that agentic AI tools with broad system access make vulnerabilities far more dangerous, calling the current pace of discoveries “like hacking in the late 1990s.”
