Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is an action-adventure single-player video game played from a third-person perspective. As with the first game Peter Parker and Miles Morales are the two main characters, with Mary Jane and Venom playable in certain missions, becoming individually playable in accordance with the story as they traverse an open world New York City and fight enemies. Players can acquire new abilities and collect various Spider-Man suits. Peter and Miles can be freely swapped between at any point during free-roam in the game's open world, and have dedicated missions both in the main story and as part of side content that takes advantage of their individual traits. The game expands upon the prior entries' open world, allowing players to explore Brooklyn and Queens in addition to Manhattan, which was the main setting of the previous two games.

Building on the combat system of the previous titles, both Spider-Men are able to parry physical attacks, as certain enemy types are impervious to dodging. During traversal, both Peter and Miles' new suits come equipped with Web Wings, which, when deployed, allow them to glide across the city, with their speed and distance covered increasing when taking advantage of areas such as wind tunnels. Each Spider-Man's gadget wheel has been upgraded with additional equip able mods for their web-shooters, such as being able to cast a Web Line across pillars for additional footing during stealth sequences suspended above enemies, and the Web Grabber, allowing multiple enemies to be pulled into an isolated spot for Stealth Takedowns, which can be performed on two enemies at once. In addition to Peter Parker's standard gameplay, he is playable when bonded to the Venom symbiote, granting him tendrils that he can use in combat and unique web-based abilities. Both Spider-Men have individual Skill Trees with additional unlockable abilities for both of them once they accumulate enough Skill Points in accordance with their experience level, as well as a third Skill Tree dedicated to shared abilities between them.

Peter Parker receives a call from Miles Morales, presumably to ask for his assistance with the stolen museum items. However, Peter asks to call Miles back later after receiving a call from Harry Osborn. Harry informs Peter that Curt Connors is still missing and to return to the Emily-May Foundation.

When Peter arrives, Mary Jane Watson calls him and informs him that Dr. Connors is missing but his house is crawling with Hunters. MJ, currently hiding in the back in one of the Hunters' vans, knows how to find him. However, she is interrupted by the Hunters getting in the van and closing the back door, which forces MJ to drop her phone in the street. The truck drives off to an abandoned zoo on the outskirts of New York City. When the Hunters open the back door, MJ surprises them by knocking them out with her stun gun, noting that her training with Silver Sable paid off. MJ begins investigating, knocking out another Hunter, and finds out that the Hunters are trying to re-activate his Lizard genes.

Taking down more Hunters stealthily and sneaking deeper into the zoo, MJ comes across the discarded wings of Vulture, confirming from a voice recorder nearby that he was also killed by Kraven. MJ hears a phone ring nearby, which is the cell phone of Dr. Connors, but it's low on battery. The phone is receiving a call from Harry, and MJ answers, stating that she is in an abandoned zoo in Jersey, but the phone dies. MJ overhears Dr. Connors nearby, and witnesses some Hunters lock him with shackles inside a cage. MJ now has two objectives: find out the code to unlock Dr. Connors's cage, and find the key to unlock his shackles.

While going after the key, MJ sneaks past more Hunters, discovering the Hunter that has the key to Dr. Connors's shackles. Using her wits to keep herself hidden behind a camouflaged barrier, MJ takes down the Hunter and steals his key. While going after the Hunter who used the code on the other side of the zoo, MJ is attacked from behind, but she knocks her out. MJ hears the Hunter, who is named Vika, being called by another Hunter, Mongoose, via radio, and MJ realizes Mongoose is speaking Symkarian. Impersonating Vika, MJ talks with Mongoose on the radio, who reveals the code is written on a nearby whiteboard. Now with the key and the correct code, MJ heads to rescue Dr. Connors, whose cage is in the middle of the zoo. MJ arrives at Dr. Connors's cage and unlocks his shackles, but Kraven suddenly appears behind them. MJ tries to plead with Kraven that Dr. Connors is a good man, but Kraven responds that there are no good men, just good prey. Tossing MJ aside, Kraven injects Dr. Connors with some kind of substance. The syringe is then taken by Peter, who arrives with Harry.

Dr. Connors desperately pleads for help in locating a sample of a serum in a building in the zoo. MJ tries to lead him there while Peter and Harry buy them time by fighting off waves of Hunters. As time passes, Dr. Connors is slowly losing control, attempting to resist the transformation into the Lizard. Dr. Connors locates the serum, but it is knocked out of his hand by Kraven, who attaches the serum to his necklace. Kraven tosses MJ aside and confronts Peter while Dr. Connors loses his battle with the Lizard. Easily catching Peter's Punch, Kraven stabs him in a fatal area with a knife. An enraged Harry begins fighting Kraven with his symbiote powers while MJ tries to help Peter, who is slowly dying. Peter soon falls back to the ground, passed out. Suddenly, the Symbiote removes itself from Harry and encases Peter, granting him his Black Suit and he is revived. Using his new powers, Peter fights off waves of Hunters while telling MJ and Harry to escape. After defeating the Hunters, Peter leaves the zoo after Harry and MJ. Kraven, watching Peter leave, orders a Hunter to begin tracking Dr. Connors, who is nowhere to be found, while he wants Peter for himself.

Back at the Emily-May Foundation, Harry's illness is returning due to losing the Symbiote, which kept it in remission. Harry is unable to explain how he transferred the Symbiote to Peter; it just happened. Peter tries to transfer it back, but all he managed to do is remove the tip of Kraven's knife that was still lodged in his body. Their only hope is to locate Dr. Connors, who has the most extensive knowledge on the Symbiote, but he has now become The Lizard. MJ recalls Kraven in possession of the serum, and their next goal is to track him down to steal back the serum, and use it to engineer an antidote for Dr. Connors.

Harold "Harry" Osborn is a major character in the Marvel's Spider-Man series. The son of Norman Osborn and Emily Osborn and the best friend of Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson, Harry is a good-natured and well-meaning person who fell terminally ill. He worked with his mother on Oscorp's Research Stations,[a] but was incubated prior to events of the first game and unable to look after them.
As the GR-27 cure intended to keep him alive failed, Harry becomes the prime host of the Venom symbiote to keep his disease at bay until Norman completed a cure. A now-healthy Harry founded the Emily-May Foundation, to honor the work of his mother and of Peter's aunt, May Parker.

Tombstone at some point became involved with Martin Li. Described in "Dinner Date", Mary Jane Watson sneaked into a building owned by Li, where Tombstone and his biker gang appeared to be hired to construct an armored vehicle for the Inner Demons. During her infiltration, Tombstone killed a mechanic named Rick, his welder, for refusing to fix an imperfection that he thought Li would not notice and then aiming a gun to plead for Tombstone to leave him alone. Mary Jane took a tracking device transmitter and used it to track Tombstone's shipments.

In "Tombstone: On the Move", Spider-Man then investigated the tracking device and tracked Tombstone down to Harlem. In "Tombstone: What's He Building in There...", Spider-Man followed up and tracked it to an Alchemax plant, but was able to piece together a counter-drug that could combat Tombstone's invulnerability, realizing that Tombstone was trying to manufacture it for others with a drug he calls Grave Dust. In "Tombstone: Let's Get Ready to...", Spider-Man used the counter-drug to confront Tombstone and defeat him. Though Tombstone was unfamiliar with the feeling of pain, when Spider-Man asked if he would now stop his criminal activities, Tombstone responded the threat of death merely "ups the thrill" and awaited the rematch with anticipation.

She is a skilled thief utilizing a combination of athleticism, martial arts skills, and high-tech gadgets in her arsenal, and often toes the line between good and bad. She is the daughter of renowned thief Walter Hardy, from whom she assumed the Black Cat mantle. She has a complicated relationship with Spider-Man, at numerous points serving as an ally, enemy, and love interest.

Miles Morales
Miles Morales, also known by his superhero alias Spider-Man, is one of the two main characters (alongside Peter Parker) of the Marvel's Spider-Man series. He is a playable supporting character in Marvel's Spider-Man, the playable protagonist of Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales, and the playable dual protagonist of Marvel's Spider-Man 2.
A Brooklyn native and the son of decorated officer Jefferson Davis and councilor Rio Morales, Miles is introduced to Peter when he works at the F.E.A.S.T. shelter. Initially helping Mary Jane Watson and Peter Parker during the Devil's Breath crisis, he eventually gains powers after Mary Jane brings back one of Oscorp's experimental spiders. He then trains under Peter to become his own Spider-Man, receiving the help of his best friend, Ganke Lee, who provides mission ops and develops the Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man App to support him. Miles truly comes into his own when a clash between Roxxon and the Underground threatens his neighborhood of Harlem. He subsequently represents New York City's community at both Harlem and Brooklyn.

Martin Li, nicknamed Mister Negative by J. Jonah Jameson, is a major character in the Marvel's Spider-Man series. He is one of the two main antagonists (alongside Doctor Octopus) of Marvel's Spider-Man, before reappearing as a major character in Marvel's Spider-Man 2.
He was the founder and owner of the F.E.A.S.T. shelter. At the same time, he was also secretly the ruthless leader of a criminal group known as the Inner Demons and possesses the ability to harness a form of negative energy at will. He had a personal vendetta against Mayor Norman Osborn, which led him to terrorize the city. Following his defeat and imprisonment, he became a member of the Sinister Six, organized by Doctor Octopus, but was defeated once again and reimprisoned along with the other members of the group by Spider-Man.

His time imprisoned allowed Li to reflect on his life choices and he now sought redemption for his past crimes. Li was initially hunted by Kraven and the Hunters, and put at odds with the new Spider-Man, Miles Morales, for his role in his father's death. However, they put their differences aside and Li redeemed himself by helping the Spider-Men defeat Kraven and the Symbiotes, even helping Peter get rid of the remaining symbiote in his body and converting it into the Anti-Venom symbiote, before turning himself over to the authorities to pursue his redemption.

Adrian Toomes:
Adrian Toomes, also known by his alias the Vulture, is a supporting antagonist in Marvel's Spider-Man with cameo appearances in Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Marvel's Spider-Man 2. A former engineer, Vulture uses high-tech artificial wings to fly at very high speeds and has a beak-like oxygen mask, which gave him a robotic voice.
Following the prison break in the Raft orchestrated by Doctor Octopus, Vulture becomes a member of the Sinister Six and actively supports Otto's infamous plans to take down Osborn and his company. Adrian is personally tasked with luring Spider-Man into a confrontation with the supervillains, but is eventually defeated by the hero and ends up imprisoned. Two years after being reincarcerated, Vulture was a target of Kraven the Hunter.

Marvel's Spider Man 2 Cinematic Version Part 03 Scorpion And Martin Lee Escaped

Miles Morales heads to The Raft to meet with Peter Parker and assist him with overseeing a prison transfer. On the way there, Miles receives a call from Peter, explaining that Scorpion is being transferred to another facility due to Flint Marko's arrest and The Raft lacks the resources to keep them both in check. Knowing Scorpion's nature, the two Spider-Men decide to oversee the transfer to make sure things go smoothly. Miles arrives just in time as Scorpion is being escorted out of the facility. The guards signal for the next prisoner to come out, which catches both Peter and Miles by surprise as they were under the assumption it was just Scorpion being transferred. The next prisoner is revealed to be Martin Li, also known as Mister Negative, the culprit behind the bombing of City Hall two years ago that resulted in the death of Miles's father. Upon laying eyes on Li, Miles becomes hyper-fixated and his emotions begin to surge, but he quickly composes himself after Peter checks on him.

As the ship carrying the two prisoners departs, clouds of colored smoke suddenly explode in the sky; first red, then yellow, then green. Peter and Miles begin to grow worried as they jump on the ship. Suddenly, several jet-skis driven by prison guards have overturned, and a large convoy of choppers, jet-skis, and boats uncloak and begin a siege on the ship, signifying the arrival of Kraven the Hunter. Miles and Peter help the prison guards who were attacked and they begin fighting off waves of Kraven's soldiers. The two Spider-Men quickly realize the Hunters are after Scorpion and Li. The Hunters use their APCs to fire large harpoons at the ship, slowly towing it towards them while flooding the inside and endangering the lives of the prisoners and guards within. While Peter struggles to pull out the harpoons, Miles heads inside to save the guards. Peter calls Miles while he's inside to check if he's okay, but quickly loses connection as there's no signal inside the ship.

Miles hears a guard trapped behind metal doors, and is unable to burst through them. Miles finds a way around to find a backup power source, but the ship is soon filled almost completely with electricity-powered water. Miles is able to destroy the door, but the guard is revealed to be Scorpion himself playing a ruse. With the electricity also freeing Scorpion from his restraints, he suddenly attacks Miles with his tail, which Miles barely dodges, but he is grazed across the chest and infected with Scorpion's toxin. Scorpion makes his escape as Miles is being haunted by hallucinations of his dead father and upsetting false visions of his family and friends being happier in his absence. An explosion sends Miles into the water as some Hunters enter the ship and confront Scorpion, one of their targets.

As Miles exits the water and recovers from the toxin, he comes across the container holding Li. Miles freezes and watches as Li begins to panic over his container filling with water, but quickly regains his composure and tries to Venom Punch the container open, but his powers go haywire and turn blue, seemingly as a result of being in close proximity to Li. Some Hunters arrive and airlift the container, while Miles is forced to fight a group that confronts him, with a new ability: Chain Lightning. Peter calls Miles and entrusts him with recovering Li while he attempts to recover the captured Scorpion. Miles grabs the chopper carrying Li's container with his webs and forces it to crash and drop the container on top of the capsized ship. Miles fights off more waves of Hunters, and another chopper appears, this time revealing Kraven himself. Kraven uses a rifle to rupture oil tankers on the ship, causing the ship and nearby water to ignite into flames while sending the flaming vessel towards a nearby boardwalk where there are civilians. Miles spots more civilians on a boat who are helpless as the boat's engine has gone out. Miles powers the engine with his powers and saves the civilians before the vessel crushes them.

Miles continues to fight off Hunters trying to take away Li's container. After beating them, one of the vessel's propellors crash onto the boardwalk, leaving civilians helpless as they slide towards the propellor. Miles tries to web up the propellor but a Hunter slices his webs apart. After taking down another wave of Hunters, Miles is alerted by Li busting out of his container. With Miles fixated on Li, Peter arrives just in time to save a civilian from the propellor. Before Li can respond to Miles's anger, he is tied up by Kraven, who lifts him away with his chopper, but Miles catches him and enters a tug-of-war. The boardwalk is slowly deteriorating and more civilians are slipping towards the propellor. Peter struggles to save them by himself as he desperately pleads for Miles to let Li go and help. Miles finally decides to let Li go and sends the propellor flying with an empowered Venom Punch.

The civilians have been saved, but the Hunters succeeded in capturing Scorpion and Li. Miles is relenting over this, also informing Peter that his powers changed after coming in close proximity with Li. Peter speculated that Li's energy may have become entangled with Miles's, but it was this energy that allowed them to save the day. Peter lifts Miles's spirits and they depart.
