Building a physically impossible Manhattan.

Five pieces from this week's Surreal Brutalist World challenge. The brief: one impossible spatial event per image, photorealistic, nothing dystopian, nothing dirty. Just scale, geometry and negative space doing the surreal work instead of fantasy ornament.

Swipe through: a district that folds ninety degrees and keeps its traffic running up the wall, a skyline curved into a wall holding back a sea of cloud, a bridge connecting two different times of day, a monolith with two skies visible through it, a plaza where the towers lean toward its centre and never fall.

RIPCAGE — Orbital Combat Systems
Advanced Combat Systems / Melee Optimization Unit.

Ripcage is the standard-issue gauntlet of Orbital — a full-contact combat sport played inside rotating zero-gravity arenas, where fighters launch off structural rings to close distance on each other mid-air. Built from python-weave composite over a titanium alloy frame with a kinetic-dampening core, the gauntlet's 27 articulation points allow full-force strikes without breaking hand structure on impact, even at zero-G velocities where a miscalculated punch can send a fighter tumbling into the arena's outer ring.
