His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, affirmed the acceleration of initiatives and steps taken by government departments and entities in the Emirate of Sharjah to achieve significant advancements in digital transformation to enhance the emirate’s prominent position in serving humanity.

The programme includes a set of success factors that reflect reality and create the desired impact, primarily centered around the digital transformation strategy for the Emirate of Sharjah. This strategy is encapsulated in the vision of “Human-Centric Digital Creativity.” It comprises over 50 digital initiatives that represent a qualitative leap in the emirate’s digital future, as well as a digital cooperation charter, which is fundamental for integration between government entities and the SDD.

The Presidential Court has announced the official sighting of the crescent moon marking the beginning of the month of Dhu al-Hijjah for the Hijri year 1446, confirming that Wednesday, 28th May 2025, will be the first day of Dhu al-Hijjah. His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, received a special honor from the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), in recognition of the completion of the Historical Dictionary of the Arabic Language and its official inclusion in the UNESCO Library.

This took place during an official ceremony held at UNESCO headquarters in the French capital, Paris, under the theme: “Arabic Language: A Bridge Between Heritage and Knowledge.”

The event was attended by Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, wife of the Ruler of Sharjah and Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs, and Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Sharjah Book Authority.
