Google and the Dubai Department of Economy and & Tourism have just launched Map Your Dubai: Insider Edition—a new initiative where Google Maps Local Guides share their favorite homegrown spots across the city.

We took on Local Guide Omar Shalash’s Omar Yasser Shalash High-Protein Midday Lunch list… except my wife was in charge of the pins, and I had no idea where we were going next. 😂

I ended up trying out Al Mandaloun DIFC, Spaces Eatery and SHAWERMA ÁSAJ :شاورما عَ الصاج — real first bites, real reactions, and some seriously good finds.
