Khuloud, my little explorer — the journey begins. 🕊️📸

Today was a special day — Khuloud’s very first time in the field, experiencing the world of wildlife through the lens of a Sony camera. She is just 1.4 years old, but the way her eyes lit up at every bird, every sound, every movement… it felt like nature was welcoming her with open arms.

As a parent and a wildlife photographer, there is nothing more fulfilling than sharing what I love with her. She sat with me, curious and excited, pressing buttons on the camera, trying to understand how this magical box captures stories. And to my surprise, she even managed to click a few frames — and yes, they turned out beautifully.

I want her to grow up surrounded by patience, observation, curiosity, and appreciation for nature — values wildlife photography naturally teaches. I’m feeding this talent early, not to push her, but to open doors, build confidence, and help her reach milestones far bigger than mine.

In this reel, I’ve added some beautiful bird images we captured today — a memory we will both look back on someday with a smile.

Here’s to small beginnings, tiny hands, and big dreams.

Rufous-naped Tit (Periparus rufonuchalis), also known as the black-breasted tit. It is a small, dark, crested bird found in the coniferous and mixed montane forests of the Himalayas and surrounding central Asian regions.

Key Identification Features:
Crested Head: It has a distinct, short, peaked black crest and a glossy blue-black head.

Cheeks and Nape: It is characterized by bright white cheeks and a small, often difficult-to-see, rufous or buff-brown patch on its nape (back of the neck).

Underparts: The chin and throat are black, extending into an extensive black bib on the breast and upper belly.
The sides of the breast and flanks have a rufous or cinnamon patch.

Wings: Unlike the similar Coal Tit, this species lacks white wingbars and has uniform wings.

The Rufous-naped Tit is an active and agile bird, often seen foraging for insects, seeds, and berries at all forest levels, from the canopy to the ground.

They often join mixed-species foraging flocks during the winter months.

Egyptian Vulture

A rare love story in the wild — an Egyptian vulture couple soaring above the stunning valleys of Kashmir. Pure grace, pure elegance, pure wilderness.

They are one of the few birds on Earth that use tools — often using stones to crack open eggs.
Their bright yellow face actually comes from their diet rich in carotenoids**, absorbing pigments through food.
Egyptian vultures migrate thousands of kilometers and can **navigate using Earth’s magnetic field**.
They are known to **roll in red soil** to enhance plumage color, a rare behavior called cosmetic coloration.
Despite being scavengers, they also specialize in targeted insect hunting**, especially locusts.
