The UAE is set to experience its coldest winter stretch between January 10 and 22, with early morning desert temperatures forecast to plunge below 5°C.
Ibrahim Al Jarwan, Chairman of the Emirates Astronomical Society, said the period coincides with the traditional Gulf weather phase known as “Der Al Sittin,” famed in folklore for its biting cold.
