Friends Who Sharpen Us

As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend (Proverbs 27:17).

Nothing steals ones joy and destiny like choosing the wrong friends. Do not hang around people with soar attitude like, jealousy, getting into trouble, envy, hate and rebelling against the system. You need to find Friends that are determined to make something out of their lives. Hang around people who are focused, disciplined, and are going places. Don't be concerned about fitting into the right crowd, being the most popular, or having the most Friends. Always remember that, it's not the quantity of our friends that matters; but the quality of our relationships that really counts. It's better to have one(1) friend that has his/her head on straight, who is going places, than ten(10) or more who are just floating 🤔 downstream doing what everybody else is doing.
Just as the scripture says it here 👆 in Proverbs 27:17, "As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend." Our friends should be sharpening us. Some of us today, want our lives to go in a different direction from our circle friends. They are probably good people, who have blessed us and we have blessed them. But now, God is trying to increase you, and those friends are holding you back. They were in our lives for a season, but you know that there's a greater purpose for your life ✨️. Sometimes if you're going to to continue to rise, you have to break out of the rut of old relationships and begin to cultivate some new friends that will sharpen you, hepl you, and encourage you to be all that God intends for you to be.

Set Your Face

As the time drew near for him to ascend to heaven, Jesus resolutely set out for Jerusalem (Luke 9:51).

Halfway through the gospel of Luke, we read that Jesus began to set His face toward Jerusalem. This phrase describes Jesus' resolute journey toward the Cross, and it appears several times in the next chapters. Jesus knew where He was going and what was going to happen. He began to focus Himself way in advance. He never removed His eyes 👀 from the prize and eventually experienced the victory ✌️.
Where's your focus in life? Are you determined to see your victory? When hard times come, where do you "set your face"? Oftentimes, we all set our focus on the problem, worrying and trying to find the solution. But when we set our faces on God, He is the solution! When your eyes are fixed or set on something, you won't be easily distracted. And where your focus is, your actions will follow. Decide today to turn your eyes upon Him. Set your focus and don't look back. It's my earnest prayers that as you do, you'll move forward in the victory ✌️ He has prepared for you.!

"No, go back to your family, and tell them everything God has done for you." So he went all through the town proclaiming the great things Jesus had done for him(Luke 8:39).

We all know it's always not very easy going home and telling people you've changed from the bad ways and things you were known for. Some who knew you as a difficult person may not be ready to believe that God has done a special work in your life ✨️. Jesus asked this man to follow him by going home. But that was a harder task than joining Jesus in the boat 🚢.
Jesus didn't promise him that everyone would be impressed by his new life. He never promised him that people would believe him or accept him back. After all, he had quite a reputation in that area. But he eventually did what Jesus asked and traveled throughout the area, "proclaiming the great things Jesus had done for him."
Remember, when Jesus changes your life, talk more about Him. Live differently." Let your your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise 👏 🙌 your heavenly Father "(Matthew 5:16). It will take time and might be difficult at times, but don't give up! God always rewards the faithful, so go tell what He has done for you!

Planned Events
But the angel said, "Don't be afriad, Zechariah! God has heard your prayers. Your wife, Elizabeth, will give you a son, and you are to name him John "(Luke 1:13).

Through the scriptures we see how Planned out each person's life is by God. He told Elizabeth, "she will be having a child and she's to call him John. He will be a forerunner of Christ." That was her son's purpose and her assignment. Also, an angel appeared to Samsons mother in the Old Testament and told her she was going to have a baby and that he would be a deliverer. The angel also told how he would be raised and that his hair was never to be cut ✂️- very specific plan.
The same way God knows the name of John before he was born, is the same way He knew yours before your parents conceived, bore and held you for the first time. God has great purpose for your life just like the great men and women in the bible. He will continue to work through events in your life to draw you to Him. If are in any kind of confusion 😕 over what God's plan is for you today, He has promised to make His ways known in (Acts 2:28).
Come(Go) with an open heart, and trust that the answer is on the way.

It’s not the argument that ruins relationships most times, it’s the silence that follows.

Conflict isn’t the enemy; pride is.

I doubt if there’s any successful relationship that exists without misunderstanding even in communication.

So the issue isn’t the misunderstanding but what follows afterwards.

Do you talk it through without standing on your right always? Or do you assume the other person doesn’t just want to understand you?

Do you really stop a for moment to listen to understand not reply?

When we pause to understand instead of defend, peace enters the room. Communication becomes effective.

Love doesn’t always agree, but it always listens.

Let’s not be afriad to be wrong and apologies instead of fighting to have a clean record of wrongs but ruining our relationships.

Listen to understand & resolve over personal wins.

Let empathy lead your next conversation.

Serve Others
For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many (Mark 10:45).

One of the best ways to get the pressures of life and to ease stress is by reaching out to help someone else. Sowing good seeds in someone's life through kind words and giving a helping hand is one way you begin to reap harvest of blessings. In most cases, when we see the challenges others face, it puts our own difficulties into perspective.
God has asked you to serve, do you know why? Why He asks you to give to others? It's because He wants to give you a superb opportunity. God is encouraging you to plant 🪴 good seeds so that you can reap the harvest of blessing in your life. He will be faithful to do his part, once you are faithful to do yours. Do not pay attention to the enemies decite, making you think and believe you can't sow good seeds in someone's life. Get going with those seeds sowed in the ground so, it can grow into a harvest of blessings 🙌 and victory! Remember, whatever you sow is what you will reap. When you sow life and strength 💪 to others, you will always be refreshed 😌 and renewed in return ❤️ 😊.
