The Path to Mercy

Surah An-Nūr (24:56)

“Moreover, establish prayer, pay alms-tax, and obey the Messenger, so you may be shown mercy.”

Salah connects you to Allah.
Zakah purifies what you give.
Obedience brings you closer to His mercy.

“Allah gives us a beautiful path toward His mercy:
establish the prayer,
give what is due in charity,
and follow the guidance of His Messenger ﷺ.
These are not merely outward actions—
they shape the heart, strengthen faith,
and teach us to live with responsibility and compassion.
The verse ends with a beautiful hope:
‘so you may be shown mercy.’
May Allah make us among those who establish prayer,
give generously,
follow the Sunnah,
and live beneath His mercy.”

Abdullah ibn ash-Shikhkhir (RA) reported:

“I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ
while he was praying,
and his chest was making a sound
like the boiling of a pot
because of his weeping.”
— Ash-Shama’il Al-Muhammadiyyah (321)

The Prophet ﷺ,
the beloved Messenger of Allah,
stood before his Lord
with a heart full of humility.

His tears were not a sign of weakness
they were a sign of a heart
deeply connected to Allah.

True humility is knowing
that no matter how honored we are,
we are always servants of Allah.

May Allah grant us hearts
that soften in prayer
and souls that turn sincerely to Him.

Surah Āl ʿImrān (3:135)

“(They are) those who, upon committing an evil deed or wronging themselves, remember Allah and seek forgiveness and do not knowingly persist in sin—and who forgives sins except Allah?”

The best believers are not those who never sin
but those who always return to Allah.

“Allah describes one of the qualities of the righteous.
When they fall into sin
or wrong themselves,
they do not ignore it or make excuses.
Instead, they remember Allah,
turn to Him in sincere repentance,
and seek His forgiveness.
Most importantly,
they do not knowingly continue in their sin.
Then Allah asks a beautiful question:
‘Who forgives sins except Allah?’
This verse fills the believer with hope,
reminding us that no matter how many times we fall,
the door of repentance remains open as long as we sincerely return to Him.”
