ဒီတစ်ခေါက်တော့ Metroဘက်သွားကြရအောင်

ဘယ်လို စတင်လာခဲ့လဲ?
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum ရဲ့City Vision အောက်မှာ Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) က 2005 ခုနှစ်တွင် metro စီမံကိန်းကို စတင်ခဲ့ပါတယ်။
Red Line ကို 2009 (September) တွင် ဖွင့်လှစ်ခဲ့ပြီး Green Line ကို 2011 တွင် စတင်လည်ပတ်စေခဲ့ပါတယ်။ ဒီလိုဖြစ်လာတာဟာ Dubai ကို traffic-dependent မြို့မှ connected & efficient မြို့တော်တစ်ခုသို့ ပြောင်းလဲစေခဲ့တာပါ။

ဒီဇိုင်းရေးဆွဲသူက British Architect တစ်ဦးဖြစ်တဲ့ Tom Wright of Atkins ပဲဖြစ်ပါတယ်။သူ့ရဲ့ အဓိကစိတ်ကူးက “Sail of a Ship” ပုံစံတစ်ခုနဲ့ Dubai ရဲ့ ပင်လယ်ကမ်းစပ်ကို သင်္ကေတအဖြစ် ဖန်တီးဖို့ပါ။ ဒီအတွက် 321 မီတာအမြင့်ရှိတဲ့ structure တစ်ခုဖန်တီးခဲ့ပြီး၊ Dubai shoreline အပေါ်မှာ ထင်ရှားတဲ့ silhouette တစ်ခု ဖြစ်လာခဲ့ပါတယ်။
