Did a one-day trip to Cambodia and decided to try Pizza 4P’s here instead of in Vietnam, where it originated! 🍕🇰🇭

No wonder it’s always recommended when you visit Ho Chi Minh. The food quality is really good, the ambiance is nice, and the prices are pretty fair. And just like in Vietnam, the queue can get pretty long too. Good thing we came early and didn’t have to wait too long! 🙂‍↕️

A Must-Try Nam Vang Noodles in District 1

You can’t miss this spot when you visit Ho Chi Minh! You know a place is good when there are more locals than tourists and this is definitely one of those places.

Aside from being affordable, the portions are filling and the food is delicious! I later found out that this place is actually very popular and is a rebirth of a Cambodian noodle concept, now known as one of Saigon’s signature noodle spots.

And the best part? It’s open 24 hours! At first, I thought it was only open at night because it’s always buzzing, but turns out you can literally come here anytime. 😂

We had to try this restaurant because it has a very low rating and we wanted to find out why. The food was okay and we actually liked their banh mi so much that we had to order it again.

The staff were accommodating, but the fact that they didn’t engage in small talk could easily be misinterpreted as being rude, especially since they don’t speak English very well. I don’t think it’s fair to consider someone rude just because they can’t communicate or interact with you in the way you expect them to.

Also, most of the reviews we saw were from a year ago, so I think some things have definitely changed since then.

Overall, it’s a pretty average restaurant with affordable food, especially from a tourist’s perspective.

We accidentally found this studio while walking around District 3 because the stores we wanted to visit were already full and I’m honestly happy we found this place! 😂

If you’re planning to shop for some streetwear outfits around District 3, be sure to drop by this studio and get your photos taken! The quality is really nice and you can even retouch inside.

You can use your own phone or camera and shoot with their backdrop. The lady running the studio is also super nice and not very strict which made the whole experience even better!

Definitely a little hidden gem if you’re around District 3. 📸✨

VIETNAM | Koi Fish Cafe in Ho Chi Minh

This place is so nice! It was such an amazing restaurant experience for me. 🫶🏻

The only thing I didn’t like was that there were no tissues or wet wipes available, but I guess it’s fine if it’s to make sure the koi fish are safe. 🐟🙂‍↕️

It’s pay-as-you-order, and the staff are really friendly. They have 2 timings, so make sure to check their timing if you want to explore the downstairs area and feed the fish! Just be careful because the floor can get pretty slippery.

The prices are also very affordable and the portions are actually good for sharing. You’d expect the portions to be small because of how cheap everything is, but you’ll definitely be surprised once the food is served! 😋

VIETNAM | Bò Né Bà Nũi

One of the most recommended and viral local restaurants in Ho Chi Minh City serving traditional Bò Né! It’s basically sizzling beef with egg, and honestly, it was so amazing. You just gotta be careful because it’s piping hot! 😂

Lots of items were unavailable when we dined in and my foodie ass was so sad about it lol. 🥲 But this is definitely one of the restaurants I’ll go back to when I return to Vietnam. 🫶🏻

Don’t forget to bring tissues and wet wipes because it can get kinda messy to eat! 😂

VIETNAM | Street Food & Delivery Edition in Ho Chi Minh

Food in Vietnam is so affordable, you’d want to eat not just 3 but 5–7 times a day hahaha! 😂 Trying the not-so-popular food spots when visiting HCM makes the whole experience even more fun and exciting.

Every time I buy something, I convert the price to dirhams and I’m always in awe of how cheap everything is haha. It’s truly a heaven for foodies! 🇻🇳❤️

Some people may come across as a little mean, but most of the time, it may just be because of the communication barrier. So don’t take it personally if you feel like they’re not talking to you in the way you’d expect to be approached. Just enjoy the experience and the food! 😂
