Your salary is not your income but your allowance.
Somebody else decides the number.
Somebody else decides when it moves.
Somebody else decides if it comes at all this month.
You just receive it and start dividing it before it lands.
Rent.
Fare. Shopping.
That chama contribution.
By the fifth it is gone and you are waiting again.
That is not a bad job but bad structure.
One source of money means one person controls your entire life.
Your landlord.
Your child's school.
Your peace of mind.
All hanging on a decision made in an office you are not sitting in.
So build the second leg.
A skill people pay for directly.
Design.
Ads.
Video editing.
Web work.
Writing.
Something where a stranger can send you money because you solved their problem, not because you showed up at eight.
Start ugly.
Charge low.
Your first client might pay one thousand dirhams and stress you for three weeks.
Fine.
That one thousand is proof the market exists and you can reach it.
Now the counterpoint.
Not everyone should quit and hustle.
Some of you are chasing a side income while your main job suffers, and now both are mediocre.
That is not freedom, it is chaos. If your salary is your foundation, protect it.
Do the second thing at night and on weekends, and do it properly.
I am not telling you to hate your job.
I am telling you not to be owned by it.
Because the day the job ends, and jobs end, the only question that matters is what else can you do that someone will pay for.
Answer that now while you still have time to learn slowly.
Salary pays your bills.
Skill pays your dreams.
One leg is not standing.
It is balancing.
Build the second one.
SABI ROAD.
