Remitly’s analysis of around 7.8 million LinkedIn listings found an average of 983 applicants for every remote role in Qatar, the highest among countries studied.

India followed with 964 and the US with 905.

Accor says occupancy across its Middle East portfolio has recovered to around 5% below previous levels, with demand from India, the GCC and CIS markets including Russia supporting the rebound.

Room rates could begin recovering in Q4 2026 and early 2027.

Before Dubai chocolate became a global sensation, FIX Dessert Chocolatier nearly called it quits. 🍫🇦🇪

Founders Sarah Hamouda and Yezen Alani built FIX alongside full time jobs and raising two children, testing flavours through friends, family and small pop ups.

When demand exploded, around 50 delivery riders were waiting outside while orders overwhelmed their small kitchen.

The viral success was never planned. The founders simply kept going. 👀

Two male passengers were restrained after a violent physical altercation aboard VA7.

Witnesses said the men threatened passengers and crew and claimed to have a gun.

Qatar Airways confirmed both were restrained and handed to authorities after landing in Doha.

No firearm has been confirmed.
