Hon. Bona Malwal was a veteran politician, distinguished journalist, and devoted statesman whose life embodied intellect, courage, and conviction. His tireless efforts and dedication to South Sudan’s struggle for freedom and nation-building remain an enduring legacy in our national history.

𝐎𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟑𝟏, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓,𝐍𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐢 –The Senior Presidential Envoy on Special Programs, Hon. Adut Kiir, paid a visit to the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) to attend the 2025 Africa International Agricultural Expo (AIAE), a major continental event fostering collaboration between Chinese and African nations in agricultural innovation and investment.

The annual expo brings together key stakeholders from across Africa and China to promote modern farming technologies, agribusiness partnerships, and sustainable food security strategies.

During her visit, Hon. Kiir toured various exhibition stalls showcasing advanced agricultural equipment, smart irrigation systems, and innovative mechanization models from several participating countries.

Hon. Adut expressed particular interest in technologies designed to improve agricultural resilience in flood-prone regions.

“Some of the machines I have seen here could play a critical role in addressing the challenges our farmers face during the rainy season,” said Hon. Adut Kiir. “As many parts of South Sudan are affected by floods, such innovations could help ensure continued food production and rural mobility.”

The Senior Presidential envoy noted that President Salva Kiir Mayardit has made agricultural development a central focus of his national agenda, and that such partnerships can help South Sudan transition toward greater self-sufficiency and food security.

The envoy also expressed hope that the Africa International Agricultural Expo partnership model would be extended to South Sudan, enabling local farmers and investors to benefit from technological exchanges and cross-border cooperation.
