Prophet Yusuf (AS) A Story of Patience & Trust ✨

Today we explored the beautiful story of Nabi Yusuf (AS) through a hands-on craft. From his special dream as a child, being thrown into a well, sold as a slave, and even imprisoned his journey was filled with challenges. 🌙💔 But through it all, he stayed pure, trusted Allah (Al-Hafeez The Guardian), and never gave up hope.

In the end, Allah raised his status and made him a ruler, reuniting him with his family and blessing him with honor. 👑🌸

This story reminds little hearts that even in hard times, Allah is always protecting us, and patience with trust leads to the best of endings. 💕

Newspaper Sunflower Craft for Kids 🌻

Sometimes the simplest things bring the most joy. Today we turned the old newspaper into bright sunflowers cut, rolled, painted, and glued together. 🌼

It’s an easy kids craft that doesn’t need fancy supplies, just a little imagination and time. Crafts like these keep little hands busy, spark creativity, and leave behind something cheerful to hang or gift. 💛

✨ A reminder: creativity doesn’t have to be complicated.

Would you try making a sunflower like this with your kids? 🌻

Today was all about acorns 🌰 a theme that worked beautifully for all of my kids together.

✨ We learned that acorns are the nuts of oak trees and usually appear in autumn (September–November).
✨ Inside each tiny acorn is a whole world from the seed coat and cotyledons to the parts that grow into a tree one day.
✨ Acorns are also full of healthy fats, vitamins, and minerals little powerhouses from nature. 🌳

We had fun exploring the anatomy of an acorn, colouring, and making cute acorn crafts each child adding their own touch. I love how one theme can stretch across different ages and learning levels, yet still keep everyone engaged. 💛

💭 If you homeschool, how do you plan activities that work for children of different ages?

Kids Series: Lessons from the Prophets ✨

This week’s reminder is about Prophet Nuh (AS) 🌊.
He called people to Allah for hundreds of years, and even when they didn’t listen, he never gave up. He stayed patient, kept doing good, and trusted Allah’s plan. 💕

🌟 Lesson for kids: Keep doing good, be patient, and remember Allah sees every effort.

A gentle reminder we can share with our children at bedtime, teaching them faith, patience, and hope. 🕊️

In today's story session we learned about Prophet Yaqub (AS).
One of the most beautiful lessons from his life is the du‘a he made in hardship:

"I only complain of my suffering and grief to Allah." (Qur’an 12:86) 🤲

We connected this to the Name of Allah – As-Sabur (The Most Patient). Just like Prophet Yaqub (AS) turned to Allah with patience and trust, we too can remember that Allah is always with us when we wait with sabr. 🌿

The kids also coloured a “Patience Flower” 🌸 where we talked about how we can practice patience every day:
🌟 Taking turns
🌟 Waiting without complaining
🌟 Practicing empathy
🌟 Being kind to others and ourselves
🌟 Thinking before we act
🌟 Listening carefully and sharing

These small steps help children understand patience not just as waiting, but as a way of living with kindness and calmness. 💕

🌟 Next session: We will learn about Prophet Yusuf (AS) – a story full of dreams, lessons, and hope. Join us as we continue our journey through the lives of the Prophets, teaching kids values that last a lifetime.

Bees in the Qur’an – A Sweet Homeschool Session 🍯

In today’s homeschool session, we explored bees in the Qur’an – and it turned into such a fun, hands-on learning day! My boys absolutely loved making a honeycomb art project and adding little bees to it. 🐝✨

We used the amazing “Animals in the Qur’an” resource pack by , which had everything from verses of the Qur’an to bee facts, a bee maze, and more. To make it extra engaging, I added bee addition sheets and matching activities for my little ones — so we ended up with a full-on “bee learning day”! 🍯📚

🌟 A few sweet facts we learned about honey:
– Honey never spoils – even after thousands of years.
– It has natural healing powers and fights bacteria.
– Allah tells us in the Qur’an that honey is a source of cure and blessing. 🌿

Alhamdulillah, such sessions remind us how beautifully Allah created even the tiniest creatures to benefit us.

Today’s learning adventure was all about elephants in the Qur’an 🐘🌿.
We used the amazing resource by .education and it made the topic so engaging for the kids!

From exploring the story of Surah Al-Fil to learning fun science facts like the differences between Asian and African elephants, their habitats, and where they live 🌍 this resource had it all. We loved the activities and painting their own elephants, which brought the lesson to life in such a creative way 🎨💡.

Elephants are such magnificent creatures the largest land animals, with trunks that can lift trees, tusks that are strong like swords, and gentle hearts that care deeply for their families. No wonder Allah chose to mention them in the Qur’an as a reminder of His power and protection. 🕋✨

Learning like this makes homeschooling so meaningful connecting the Qur’an, nature, and creativity in one place. 🌸

Alhamdulillah for the chance to teach our children in ways that spark love for both Islamic knowledge and the world around them.

A lot is happening around us… and as mothers, our hearts can’t ignore it. 😞
We see children who should be laughing, learning, and safe in their mother’s arms… instead facing fear and hardship.

Today, as we painted these watermelons, I couldn’t help but think of Palestine a land whose flag is carried in these colors when even flags were taken away. 🍉
It’s more than art. It’s a reminder.

I whisper this du‘a as a mother to another mother, from my heart to theirs:

رَبَّنَا أَفْرِغْ عَلَيْنَا صَبْرٗا وَتَوَفَّنَا مُسْلِمِينَ
“Our Lord, pour upon us patience and let us die as Muslims.” Ameen

May Allah protect every child, strengthen every parent, and give us the patience to keep standing for truth, even when it feels heavy. 🕊️

Today’s gentle reminder for our little ones comes from the story of Prophet Adam (AS) 🌿 the very first human and prophet.

When Adam (AS) made a mistake, he didn’t run away from Allah. He turned back and made du‘a:
📖 “Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves. If You do not forgive us and have mercy upon us, we will surely be among the losers.” (Qur’an 7:23)

✨ The lesson: Everyone makes mistakes — but what matters most is turning back to Allah with a sincere heart. Ar-Rahman, the Most Merciful, always forgives when we ask.

👉 A simple reminder to teach our kids: it’s never too late to say Astaghfirullah.

Today’s story session was about Prophet Ishaq (AS) ✨

We learned how Allah blessed Prophet Ibrahim (AS) with a son in his old age a gift given because of his obedience, patience, and trust in Allah’s plan. 🌿

We also learned one of Allah’s beautiful names: Ar-Rahman The Most Merciful 💛. Just like He gave Ibrahim (AS) blessings beyond imagination, Ar-Rahman blesses us too in ways we sometimes see, and in ways we cannot even count. 🌧️🌙

We reflected on the du‘a of Prophet Ibrahim (AS):
“My Lord, grant me [a child] from among the righteous.”
A reminder for us to make du‘a for our children, asking Allah to make them righteous and close to Him. 🤲

We also explored the family tree of Ibrahim (AS) — a tree filled with prophets: Ismail (AS), Ishaq (AS), Yaqub (AS), Yusuf (AS), and from his lineage, our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. 🌳

📌 Activities today:
🌧️ Ar-Rahman “blessings rain cloud” craft
🌳 Family tree of Prophet Ibrahim (AS)
🤲 Du‘a card of Prophet Ibrahim (AS)

May Allah make our children like Ishaq (AS) patient, obedient, and always grateful for Allah’s blessings. 💛
