Two members of Iran’s Basij paramilitary force were reportedly killed in a shooting in Mashhad, according to IRGC-affiliated Sabereen News.

The report says two unidentified men wearing military-style clothing opened fire with handguns on Fakouri Boulevard. One Basij member was killed at the scene, while the second later died in hospital.

Gunfire was also reportedly heard near the Imam Reza Shrine during the incident.
