This award celebrates Emirati authors across four categories, from first novels to academic contributions, recognising creativity, knowledge, and thought.

At Lightning Source Sharjah, we're proud to be part of journeys that transform challenges into chapters—literally.

This week, we had the joy of witnessing one of our own IngramSpark authors, Caroline Bakker (Amazon Warrior Meditations), take the stage at the iconic House Of Wisdom Sharjah, delivering her powerful keynote, "She Rises."

Caroline’s story is a testament to the power of storytelling. From personal battles with burnout and neurodivergence to becoming a published author, her journey reflects why we do what we do—amplify authentic voices that need to be heard.

What made this moment even more special? It took place right here in Sharjah, in a space dedicated to knowledge, growth, and community. Events like these remind us that the impact of a book goes far beyond the page—it becomes part of something larger.

This 5th June, Lightning Source Sharjah proudly supports the global call to . As one of the Middle East's first large-scale print-on-demand operations, we champion sustainable publishing by reducing waste and minimising environmental impact.

Our local POD facility enables publishers to print only what’s needed, when it's needed, cutting down on overproduction, long-distance shipping, and excess packaging. This approach not only conserves resources but also accelerates access to books across the Middle East and North Africa.
