The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has removed the requirement for exporters to submit physical duty payment challans while applying for Export Obligation Discharge Certificates (EODC) under the Advance Authorisation (AA) and Export Promotion Capital Goods (EPCG) schemes.

The DGFT-ICEGATE integration will allow exporters and officials to access authenticated customs duty payment records through digital systems.

APEDA has facilitated the first-ever export of 1 metric tonne (MT) of mustard honey by Dergang Farmer Producer Organisation (FPO) from Tripura to Dubai. The shipment marks the first export of mustard honey from the area and creates an opportunity for local farmers and beekeepers to access international markets.

The 1 MT shipment is expected to improve market access and price realisation for beekeepers while supporting export-oriented honey production.

The government has launched E-Samudra, a single digital window bringing maritime services for seafarers, shipping companies, ports and other stakeholders onto one platform.

The system offers online payments, real-time tracking, digital certificates and end-to-end workflows, while new tools including a 24×7 grievance redressal system and Seafarer Tracking Dashboard aim to improve service delivery.

FreightFox, a transportation management and Control Tower platform, has raised ₹50 million in a strategic funding round led by HighLeaf, with participation from Vijender Yadav, Founder of Accops Systems, Puru Gupta, Founder and Operating Partner at Proteus Partners, and Aeravti Ventures.

FreightFox will use the funding to grow enterprise sales, expand its partner network and strengthen its presence in international markets.

Hong Kong Air Cargo has launched a dedicated freighter service from Mumbai, expanding its network in India and strengthening its partnership with Aeroprime Group, its Cargo General Sales and Service Agent (GSSA) in the country.

The service expands the airline’s India network and gives exporters more cargo capacity and connectivity to Hong Kong and global markets.

The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has expanded eligibility for the “Source from India” feature on the Trade Connect ePlatform to include eligible DPIIT-recognised start-ups. The move will allow qualifying start-ups to create their own microsites and showcase their products and credentials to international buyers.

Eligible startups can create microsites on Trade Connect to showcase products and credentials to international buyers, with some exceptions for newer exporters.

The Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) facilitated the first-ever commercial sea shipment of 18 metric tonnes of GI-tagged Mithila Makhana, exported from the BIADA Industrial Area in Bihta, Bihar, to Australia. The consignment, sourced from Makhana growers in Darbhanga district, is expected to strengthen the international presence of Bihar's flagship GI product while creating enhanced income opportunities for farmers through export-led market access.
