👗 Your First Tailoring Project: Elastic-Waist Skirt
🧰 Materials:
1.5 to 2 meters of cotton fabric
1-inch wide elastic (your waist measurement + 2 inches)

1. Measure & Cut Fabric
Cut two rectangles:
Width: Your waist measurement × 1.5 (or 2 for fullness)
Length: Your desired skirt length + 4 inches (2” waistband, 2” hem)
2. Sew the Side Seams

Pin and sew both side seams
Finish the raw edges
3. Create the Waistband
Fold the top edge down ½", then fold again 1.5"

4. Insert Elastic
