Personally involved in the 360° field since 1996, we went through the whole 360° revolution started earlier with Quicktime VR, Photobubble from Omniview (which became iPIX afterwards), Photovista, Smoothmove…
We were present at the inception of 360 video in 2001 when iPIX released the first prototype ever of its kind that was able to capture a full 360 x 360 field of view…
The process was then
laborious, and more than one month was required to produce a 5mn 360 video deliverable for offline use only. Setup as a FZCO company in Dubai since 2007, we provide a full range of service in the 360 Video/Stills field from the Pre-production, Filming, Processing, Editing and Delivery process. The range of application is unlimited, and the 360 video content can be used is Real Estate, Entertainment, Training, Promotion, Industry… You name it! At Dooworks, we are fully equipped to fulfill our engagements:
- 5x 360° Cameras units (with different configurations, depending on the shooting condition)
- 5x Recording Unit (same as above, depending on the shooting condition, weather, video duration, vibration…)
- Different Rigs such as Tripod, Suction Plates, Helicopter Rig, and Helmet mounted, Motorcycle Rig…
- Custom made RC controller
In the Post Production Unit, more than 2 hours of full 360 video can be produce daily. This volume is scalable as the full system is handled by the Agility Grid Network System, equipped with the Render Farm tool called MX-Multimode Rendering Server from DOO Technologies. Our Post Production Unit is working on an enhanced Multi Gigabytes Network (using Jumbo Frame technology) where 20 Processing Units are attributed job by the Server. A scalable 72 TB storage system is utilized to centralize the content during the production process. The video is shot using DOO Technologies Gigabit or USB 3.0 Camera that provides a full resolution of 2.6MP to 10MP, with a variable frame rate from 10 to 30fps. The recording system from Doo Technologies allow to record in full 360 frame with a perfect sound sync for more than 24 hours non-stop of full 360 x 360 Video content. The integrity of the content is then processed using a combination between effective software from DOO Technologies, and hardware setup as a powerful render farm that stitches the sources to deliver a well known flat equirectangular video, which can be easily edited in Non linear editing suit such as Adobe After Effect, Premiere, Avid or Final Cut Pro. The final video can also be edited in post production with tools such as 3DS Max to provide new state of the art video effects.
