Some experiences remind you that growth isn’t just about building ventures, it's about building yourself first.

The S.O.U.L Speak training with Sahar Saleem at in5 Dubai was one of those experience.
In a few hours, It shifted the way we think about leadership and venture building:

Self-discovery – uncovering the heart behind every idea
Ownership – learning to stand tall in our story as founders and leaders
Storytelling – weaving narratives that truly connect with people

The part that connected with me the most was
Her perspective on pitching.

I grew up in a strict, orthodox family.
Money was never spent freely…

Every “we can’t afford it” felt like another wall built around me….

As a child, those walls felt suffocating.

That’s when I decided—

കാലം കരുതിവെക്കുന്ന ചില പ്രതികാര കഥകൾ, അമൂർത്തവും അവിശ്വസനീയമാവിധം ത്രസിപ്പിക്കുന്നതുമായിരിക്കും എന്നതാണ് സത്യം.

തമിഴ് സിനിമ പിന്നണി ഗാനരംഗത്ത് കിരീടം വെക്കാത്ത രാജാക്കന്മാരായി വാഴുന്ന രണ്ടുപേർക്കെതിരെ "മീ ടൂ" ആരോപണം പരസ്യമായി ചങ്കൂറ്റത്തോടെ വിളിച്ച് പറയാൻ തയ്യാറായതിന് ആ പെൺകുട്ടിയെ അവരെല്ലാവരും ചേർന്നു പടിയടച്ച് പിണ്ഡം വച്ചു. ഒന്നും രണ്ടുമല്ല,
നീണ്ട ഏഴ് വർഷം. "അപ്രഖ്യാപിത ബാൻ".

ഏതാനും ആഴ്ചകൾക്ക് മുമ്പ് കമലഹാസൻ - മണിരത്നം- AR റഹ്മാൻ ടീമിൻ്റെ "തഗ്ഗ് ലൈഫ് " എന്ന സിനിമയുടെ ഓഡിയോ ലോഞ്ചിങ് വേദി.
അവിടെ സ്റ്റേജിൽ ആ സിനിമയിലെ പാട്ട് പാടേണ്ടത്, സിനിമയിൽ തമിഴിൽ ഒറിജിനൽ പാടിയ "ദീ" ആയിരുന്നു.

നിർഭാഗ്യവശാൽ അവർക്കന്ന് ആ പരിപാടിയിൽ പങ്കെടുക്കാൻ സാധിക്കുന്നില്ല, പകരമായി പടിക്ക് പുറത്താക്കിയ ചിൻമയിക്ക് അവസരം കിട്ടുന്നു. (വിലക്കില്ലാത്തതിനാൽ തെലുങ്കിൽ ഈ പാട്ട് പാടാൻ AR റഹ്മാൻ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തത് ചിൻമയിയെയായിരുന്നു). നെഞ്ച് തകർത്തു ചിന്മയി തമിഴ് വേദിയിൽ ആ പാട്ടു പാടുന്നു.
മണിക്കൂറുകൾക്കഴിയുമ്പോഴേക്കും , തമിഴ് സിനിമയ്ക്ക് വേണ്ടി പാടിയ ഒറിജിനൽ പാട്ടിനെ വലിച്ചെറിഞ്ഞ്, ചിൻമയി സ്റ്റേജിൽ പാടിയ വീഡിയോ ലക്ഷങ്ങൾ - കോടികൾ ഏറ്റെടുക്കുന്നു.

യൂട്യൂബിൽ എത്ര മില്യൺ എന്ന് പറയാൻ കഴിയാത്ത വിധം വീഡിയോ കുതിച്ച് പാഞ്ഞു. കോടിക്കണക്കായ റീലുകൾക്ക് ചിൻമയിയുടെ സ്റ്റേജിലെ ശബ്ദം ഹേതുവാകുന്നു.

"ചിൻമയിയെ തിരിച്ച് വിളിക്കുക" എന്ന ഹാഷ്ടാഗ് കൊണ്ട് സോഷ്യൽ മീഡിയ നിറയുന്നു.

ചെറുതും വലുതുമായ നൂറ് കണക്കിന് ചാനലുകൾ ആ പെൺകുട്ടിയുടെ വീട്ടുവളപ്പിൽ ഒരു ഇൻറർവ്യൂവിനായി കെട്ടിക്കിടക്കുന്നു.
പണവും പ്രതാപവും അധികാരവും കയ്യിലുള്ളവർ ചേർന്ന് ചവിട്ടി പുറത്താക്കിയ അവളെ മുകളിൽ നിന്ന് ഒരാൾ കൈപിടിച്ച് തിരിച്ചുകൊണ്ടുവരുന്ന അതിമനോഹരമായ കാഴ്ച്ച.

തന്നെ പിണ്ഡം വെച്ചവരുടെ നെഞ്ചകം പിളർത്തികൊണ്ട് കോടിക്കണക്കായ മനുഷ്യരുടെ ഹൃദയങ്ങളിലേക്ക് അവൾ നടന്നു കയറുന്ന ഇമ്പമേറിയ സംഗീത കാഴ്ച്ച.

“They didn’t expect much. But they left transformed.”

When I walked into the training hall yesterday, most of the participants were just settling in — some tired, some curious, a few a little skeptical.

They had seen trainings before. But not one where someone stood alone, told raw stories, challenged mindsets, and sparked real conversations.

No slides.
No fluff.
Just real leadership lessons from the ground — designed for real people running real businesses.

By the end of the session, the room was different.
Eyes opened.
Smiles widened.
Managers turned into leaders — not because of a title, but because they finally understood what leadership means.

Leadership is not about control.
It’s about communication, vision, and responsibility.
It’s about earning respect — not demanding it.

To the 30+ supervisors and branch managers who showed up fully — thank you for trusting me.

And to those who believe training is just a formality…
Try giving people the tools, stories, and belief they never received before.

A few weeks back, I got a call from the team at Express Al Madeena Hypermarket.

They weren’t looking for a motivational speaker.
They wanted something deeper — a practical leadership session for their store managers and key staff.
Not to just inspire for a day… but to build long-term change in mindset, communication, and professionalism.

That’s how the EXPVISION – Leadership Initiative was born.

I’ll be joining hands with Ashraf P K (Managing Director) and the leadership team this June 23rd at Novel Hotel, Abu Dhabi — to conduct a leadership workshop for their key team members.

Over the years, I’ve seen how people who start from the ground level often grow into leadership roles. But many of them never get proper training or direction.
This session is a small step towards filling that gap.
