this is goodbye for a while.. because it’s tour season!

I’m about to run five group tours with notsosolo | group trips as well as head to a few new destinations for scouting tours, all within the next two months!

which also means, I have absolutely no spare time, and this account is is going to be seeing much less of me for the next few months …

first two tours, we’re back to turkmenistan so I’m signing offline for the next 11 days 🫡

one of the most underrated safaris? 👀🇬🇲

this definitely isn’t your classic african safari, but it for sure is one hell if an adventure to get too, and only a fraction of the cost !!

located 300km away from banjul is a village called kuntaur, where this small guesthouse is situated, costing only £16 a night for a private room and two meals per day, and running boat safaris, costing £25 if you want a private boat, and much less if there are people to share!

the gambia river is home to around 40 hippos and we were lucky enough to spot five during our safari, although this is definitely not guaranteed, as safaris the day before didn’t spot any! we also saw so many chimps! 🦧

the two full days of travel during insane heat was deffo worth it for this!

IRAN GROUP TRIP V2 !!! 🇮🇷

with the success of our our first trip launch to Iran, we are launching a second tour! a shortened, more compact itinerary for those with more restricted time!

Iran has the (second) best ice cream in the world 🇮🇷🍦

one of the things I L O V E D about the food in Iran is how much saffron (and cinnamon) was used in meals and infused into drinks… absolutely heaven !!!

this is the famous ice cream, we tried it in Isfahan which is supposed to be the best spot to try, and it absolutely did not disappoint!! 😋

the only ice cream comparable is the traditionally made afghan ice cream in mazar sharif … but this is a close second

honestly the cafe culture in Iran is something I had neverrrr expected and was one of my favourite things about the country!!
