The doctor said
that I have only
couple of months to live.
Sickle Cell is ruining
my life.
My name is Akida, otherwise known as Kido or Zyair, and I am a 29-year-old living with Sickle Cell ANEMIA SS Disease. For more than 20 years, I have faced the daily challenges and complications of this condition with faith, determination, and the unwavering support of my loved ones. By the grace of God and through constant prayers, I have been blessed to reach the age of 29 despite the many obstacles along the way.
Today, I am reaching out with humility to ask for your support. My doctors have recommended that I undergo a blood exchange procedure and an implant surgery, both of which are medically necessary to improve my health and quality of life. The estimated cost of these treatments, including the associated medical expenses, is approximately US$30,000–US$40,000.
Unfortunately, the financial burden of these life-changing procedures is beyond what I can afford on my own. I am therefore appealing to the kindness and generosity of individuals, businesses, charitable organizations, and anyone who is willing to help.
No contribution is too small. Every donation brings me one step closer to receiving the treatment I urgently need. If you are unable to donate, sharing my story with others would also mean a great deal and could help me reach someone who is able to assist.
Your generosity, prayers, and encouragement will give me hope and help me continue this fight against sickle cell disease.
FYI: FOR THE PASS COUPLE OF MONTHS HAS BEEN THE HARDEST FOR ME, GOING TO THE HOSPITAL 2-3 TIMES PER WEEK TO LEAK BLOOD-CLOTH WAS NEVER THE PLAN, TOUGH TIMES DON’T LAST TOUGH PEOPLE DO.
IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS PLEASE FEEL FREE TO REACH OUT.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for considering supporting me during this difficult time. May God richly bless you for your kindness and compassion.
Sincerely,
Akida
