Morning Devotion: Trust What God Is Doing

Sometimes we struggle to let go because we cannot see what comes next. We hold tightly to people. Opportunities. Plans. Even seasons that God may be allowing to end.

But when God redirects your path you can trust His wisdom. What feels like a loss today may be making room for growth. Protection. Purpose. Or an opportunity you could not yet see.

Do not allow a closed door to make you question God’s goodness. Trust Him with what left. Trust Him with what did not work out. Trust Him with what comes next.

“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God.” — Romans 8:28 (KJV)

Prayer:
Lord help me to trust You when things change. Give me the faith to release what I cannot keep and the courage to follow where You lead. Help me believe that Your plans for my life are good even when I cannot yet see what You are doing. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 🙏🏽

Whatever the season brings keep trusting God. He knows what He is doing.

Halo donates to GN Trust for student-athletes scholarships in UK

The Halo Foundation, headed by Her Excellency Lady Sandra Williams, donated approximately $18,000 to the President of GN Trust ‘s Ricky Santos at Government House yesterday .

The objective of the GN Trust , a UK Registered Charity under the patronage of Their Excellencies Sir Rodney and Lady Williams, is to fund or part-fund scholarships for talented young Antiguans to pursue higher education in the United Kingdom, while receiving elite training and pathways towards professional contracts in the sport of football —American soccer “.

The Halo Foundation continues to support culture and the arts , youth , sports, the differently abled , uniformed bodies , the environment, education, women and girls, community outreach , health, history and heritage , the elderly and world peace .

USE CRITICISM TO BUILD YOU.......

Criticism doesn’t always have to be taken as an attack. Sometimes, even when it is delivered poorly, there may be something in it that can help you grow.

Take what is useful. Examine yourself honestly. Make the necessary improvements, and leave behind what serves no purpose.

You don’t have to respond to every opinion or prove yourself to everyone. Sometimes the best response is simply becoming better.

Let criticism sharpen you, not shake you. Use it to build, improve and elevate.

CONFIDENT IN WHO GOD SAYS YOU ARE

When you truly know who you are in Christ, the opinions of others no longer have the power to define you.

People will have something to say. Some will misunderstand you, criticize you, question you or form opinions without knowing your heart. But you cannot spend your life trying to convince everyone of who you are.

Your identity comes from God.

When God says you are chosen, loved, valued and called for a purpose, that carries more weight than anything anyone else has to say about you.

There is freedom in reaching the place where you no longer need everyone’s approval. Know who you are. Know whose you are. And be confident in who God says you are.

GOD USES ORDINARY PEOPLE TO DO EXTRAORDINARY THINGS

📖 “But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty.” — 1 Corinthians 1:27 (KJV)

You do not have to be the most talented, influential, educated, or well-known person for God to use you. Throughout the Bible, God repeatedly chose ordinary people and accomplished extraordinary things through their willingness to trust Him.

David was a shepherd boy, yet God used him to defeat Goliath. Moses questioned his ability to speak, yet God used him to lead a nation. Esther was an orphan, yet God positioned her to help save her people. The disciples were ordinary men, yet God used them to carry the Gospel to the world.

Sometimes we focus so much on what we lack that we forget who God is. God is not limited by our weaknesses, our background, or how others see us. When we surrender what we have to Him, He can accomplish far more through us than we could ever accomplish on our own.

Never underestimate what God can do with an ordinary life that is completely available to Him. You may feel unnoticed or unqualified, but God sees purpose where others may see ordinary.

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for reminding me that I do not have to be extraordinary for You to use me. Help me to surrender my gifts, abilities, weaknesses, and plans to You. Use my life for Your purpose and give me the courage to go wherever You lead. In Jesus’ name, Amen. 🙏🏽

Christian Ministries Center Adopts 21 Inmates for Prayer and Welfare Support

Twenty-one inmates have been adopted by the Christian Ministries Center through a new ministry focused on prayer, inmate welfare, Christian care and rehabilitation.

The initiative comes as the church celebrates its 21st anniversary, with 21 inmates adopted to correspond with its 21 years.

On the recently observed National Day of Prayer on Thursday, September 10, those incarcerated were specially ministered to during the church’s “A Prison to Praise” Prayer Service.

Speaking to Inspire Antigua & Barbuda, Bishop Charlesworth Browne said the church considered it necessary to establish an Inmate Adoption Ministry, with emphasis on prayer and inmate welfare, particularly Christian care and deliberate rehabilitation.

Browne said the church will pray regularly for the 21 inmates, their families and victims.

As often as possible, the church will also provide necessities, including toiletries and healthy snacks, along with reading material and gospel tracts for the inmates.

A special delivery was made on Tuesday, September 22, 2026 as part of the welfare support initiative. Anjo Wholesale is identified as a sponsor of the effort.

The ministry is intended to reach those who, according to Browne, may by some be “despised and forgotten.”

THE FALCONS HAVE FLOWN HIGH AND A NATION CELEBRATES! 🇦🇬🏆

What a moment for Antigua and Barbuda!

From the opening matches to the final ball of an unforgettable campaign, the people of Antigua and Barbuda stood firmly behind the Antigua and Barbuda Falcons cheering every boundary, celebrating every wicket and believing that this team could go all the way.

And they did.

The Falcons captured their maiden Republic Bank Caribbean Premier League title, defeating the Jamaica Kingsmen by eight wickets and bringing home a championship that now forms part of our cricketing history.

Congratulations to every player, coach and member of the wider Falcons franchise whose contribution helped make this possible. Cricket is a team game, and this championship was built on collective effort, confidence and belief — qualities the Falcons carried throughout their campaign.

For our own Sir Curtly Ambrose, Wilden Cornwall, Rahkeem Cornwall and Karima Gore, Monday night's homecoming was especially meaningful — a chance for the nation to welcome home some of its own and say, well done. The celebration was made even sweeter as Sir Curtly marked his 63rd birthday just one day after the historic triumph.

But perhaps the greatest victory goes beyond the trophy. Somewhere across Antigua and Barbuda, a young boy or girl watching this team may now be dreaming of picking up a bat or ball and one day representing their country. Sir Curtly himself reflected on the power of sporting success to inspire another generation of young cricketers.

To the Antigua and Barbuda Falcons: thank you for the memories, thank you for representing with pride, and congratulations, CPL Champions!

You believed. We believed. And now, we celebrate. 🇦🇬🏆

LEAD ME TO STILL WATERS!!!

Scripture:
“He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul.”
Psalm 23:2–3 (KJV)

There are times when life becomes noisy. Our minds are crowded with responsibilities, unanswered questions, disappointments and things we simply cannot control. Yet in the middle of it all, God offers something the world cannot manufacture: peace.

David said, “He leadeth me beside the still waters.” Notice that God leads. We do not have to know every turn in the road ahead. We simply have to trust the Shepherd.

Still waters do not mean that every problem has disappeared. They represent the peace that comes from knowing that God is present even while we are waiting for things to change.

Sometimes God leads us away from the noise so He can restore what life has drained from us. He quiets our anxious thoughts. He reminds us that we do not have to carry tomorrow today. He restores our strength and gives us grace for the journey ahead.

This morning, ask God, “Lead me to still waters.”

Lead me away from unnecessary worry.
Lead me away from confusion.
Lead me away from anything disturbing my peace.
Lead me into Your presence, where my soul can rest.

You may not be able to control everything that happens today, but you can choose to follow the One who knows the way.

Let the Shepherd lead. There is peace beside the still waters.

Prayer

Lord, lead me beside the still waters today. Quiet every anxious thought and remove the noise that keeps me from hearing Your voice. Restore my soul, renew my strength and guide every decision I make. When I am tempted to worry about what lies ahead, remind me that You are my Shepherd and I am safe in Your care. Give me Your peace and help me follow wherever You lead.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
