DNA Results Confirm Identities of Missing Persons in Antigua

Commissioner of Police Atlee Rodney met with the families of Noah Hurst and Shamar Harrigan to disclose DNA results confirming their identities.

Skeletal remains found in December 2022 at Rome's Estate, Willikies, were identified as Shamar Harrigan, reported missing in November 2022.

Noah Hurst's remains were discovered near Diamond Estate after he was reported missing on May 23, 2023.

The police have questioned several individuals and are seeking public assistance in their ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding the deaths.

Pastor Accused of Serious Indecency in Antigua

A foreign pastor in Antigua has been charged with two counts of serious indecency after allegedly violating a female church member in March 2023.

The complainant, who had been attending the pastor's church and confiding in him about personal issues, agreed to a massage from the pastor, who claimed to be a certified masseuse.

During the massage, the pastor allegedly engaged in nonconsensual sexual acts.

The case has been committed to the High Court, with the pastor potentially facing a judge as early as September.

🚨 Murder Charge in Bendals Stabbing 🚨
Clarence Cameron, 19, of Bendals has been arrested and charged with the murder of 17-year-old Omarrie Graham, also of Bendals. The incident, which occurred on Saturday night, marks the fourth homicide in Antigua and Barbuda this year.
Graham's body was found near the St. Luke's Anglican Church in Bendals, with stab wounds to his neck, forearm, and wrist.
Cameron is expected to make his first court appearance on Thursday.
Our thoughts are with the family and friends of Omarrie Graham during this difficult time.

The Met Service has issued a waterspout warning for the northern coastal waters of Antigua until 4:30 pm today (May 8, 2024).

Unstable weather conditions have resulted in waterspouts offshore of Hodges Bay, posing a moderate threat to life and property.

If you spot a waterspout, exercise extreme caution and keep your distance. Boaters should navigate at a 90-degree angle away from the waterspout and never attempt to navigate through it.
