Today, the world of Gospel music mourns the loss of a true legend. Richard Smallwood, whose timeless songs lifted hearts and drew souls into worship, has entered eternal rest at the age of 77. His music — from Total Praise to I Love the Lord — became more than songs; they became declarations of hope, faith, and praise that resonated across generations and around the globe.

Richard wasn’t just a composer or pianist — he was a vessel of God’s glory whose melodies broke barriers between church walls and mainstream stages. His gift touched millions and will continue to echo in sanctuaries, choirs, and personal worship moments everywhere.

Our prayers are with his family, friends, collaborators, and the countless lives he’s inspired. Thank you, Richard Smallwood, for the soundtrack of faith you’ve gifted the world. Your legacy will forever sing.

Dear God,

We come before you with gratitude for the vision you planted in black entrepreneurs long before doors were opened, permits were approved, or capital was secured. Thank you for ideas born in kitchens, barbershops, living rooms, church basements, and late-night prayers. Thank you for creativity that survived scarcity and courage that outlived fear.

We ask that you strengthen black-owned businesses with wisdom, discipline, and clarity. Bless our hands to do honest work, our minds to make sound decisions, and our hearts to lead with integrity. Help us build systems that last, not just moments that shine. Give us patience for the process and perseverance for the long road.

Cover these businesses with protection—protect cash flow, contracts, partnerships, and reputation. Close doors that look good but lead to compromise, and open doors that align with purpose, sustainability, and growth. Surround owners with the right people, not just helpers, but builders who are accountable and committed.

We pray for access without exploitation, opportunity without erasure, and success without burnout. Remind us that rest is not weakness, boundaries are not selfish, and excellence is not optional. Teach us to price our value, own our platforms, and steward our influence well.

Let black-owned businesses be places of employment, empowerment, and community impact. May they create jobs, circulate wealth, inspire the next generation, and prove that legacy is built through consistency and character.

We trust you with the vision, the timing, and the outcome. Give us the courage to do the work, the humility to learn, and the faith to keep going—even when results are slow.

In Jesus Name, Amen.

Beyoncé and JAY-Z have officially reached the top of the music money mountain.

According to Forbes, Beyoncé’s net worth is now estimated at $1 billion—driven by the power of Parkwood Entertainment and back-to-back, record-breaking stadium tours. Her 2025 Cowboy Carter Tour reportedly brought in over $400 million in ticket sales, plus millions more in merch, following her nearly $600 million Renaissance Tour in 2023.

This is what happens when artistry meets ownership and vision. Together, Beyoncé and JAY-Z now stand as the richest musicians in the world—turning talent, strategy, and hard work into generational wealth.

God, as I step into this new year, help me walk in the truth you have already taught me.

Give me clarity where there was once confusion, and peace where I once overextended myself. Teach me to love without abandoning myself, to lead without exhaustion, and to trust you without fear.

Strengthen my boundaries so they reflect wisdom, not walls. Help me discern fruit over flattery, patterns over promises, and truth over urgency. Let my life be aligned—my faith, my work, my values, and my peace in harmony.

I release guilt, resist fear, and stand firm with humility. I trust that you know my heart, and that is enough.

In Jesus Name, Amen!
