Special Announcement: Meet 50 Over 50 Honoree – Monique Bryant
We proudly honor Monique Bryant as a 2026 Mattie Brewer McCulloch 50 Over 50 Award Honoree.
A compassionate leader, dedicated public servant, entrepreneur, and community advocate, Monique Bryant has built a remarkable legacy centered on faith, service, and creating opportunities for others to thrive. Her commitment to treating every individual with dignity, respect, and compassion has guided both her professional career and her lifelong dedication to serving the Northwest Louisiana community.
As Director of HMIS Administration for Northwest Louisiana, Monique leads the region’s Homeless Management Information System across seven parishes and has devoted more than 15 years to strengthening the homeless response system. As the data lead on a collaborative initiative, she helped drive an extraordinary 96% reduction in chronic homelessness across Northwest Louisiana, demonstrating the powerful impact that leadership, collaboration, and data-driven solutions can have on communities.
A strong believer in education and professional development, Monique earned a Master of Nonprofit Administration from Louisiana State University Shreveport, a Bachelor of Social Science from Louisiana Tech University, and an Associate of Human Services from Southern University at Shreveport. She also serves as Treasurer for the Louisiana HMIS Administrators State Board, continuing her commitment to strengthening systems that serve vulnerable populations throughout the state.
Monique’s passion for service is deeply rooted in her faith. For the past 27 years, she has faithfully served at Lighthill Baptist Church, investing in young people through youth ministry, Bible studies, mentorship, and practical life lessons grounded in Christian principles. Her servant’s heart has also led her to volunteer with the Teen Moms Program and support numerous civic initiatives focused on strengthening families and improving the Shreveport community.
Beyond public service, Monique is the owner of Abundant Wellness & Travel, where for the past seven years she has helped clients create meaningful experiences around the world. An avid traveler herself, Monique believes travel provides opportunities to broaden perspectives, experience different cultures, and build meaningful connections. She has traveled to nine countries and 31 states, with her journey to Ghana holding a particularly special place in her heart as a deeply meaningful and life-changing experience.
Above all, Monique considers her family among her greatest blessings. She has been happily married to her husband, Phil, for 26 years, and is the proud mother of Demarcus, Paige, and Rashada, as well as the devoted grandmother of her grandson, Jordon.
Grounded in her faith and inspired by the biblical principle of serving “the least of these,” Monique continues to demonstrate that true leadership is not simply measured by titles or accomplishments, but by the lives changed through compassionate service.
