A new month is more than turning a page on the calendar, it's an opportunity to begin again.

No matter what July looked like, August offers us another chance to love better, parent intentionally, grow personally, and trust God more deeply.

As a Parent & Teen Coach, I've learned that transformation doesn't usually happen through one big decision.

It happens through the small, consistent choices we make every day.

This August, let's choose to:
Be present with our children.
Pray before we panic.
Listen more than we lecture.
Encourage more than we criticize.
Put our phones down more often.

Build homes where love, respect, and grace flourish.

May this month bring you and your family: Peace in your home.
Wisdom in your parenting.
Joy in your relationships.
Strength for every challenge.
Good health.
Open doors and divine favor.

Remember: The seeds you plant in your family today will become the legacy your children carry tomorrow.

One of the biggest mistakes parents make is focusing only on taking screens away.

Instead, ask yourself:
What am I replacing screen time with?

Children don't just need less screen time, they need more purpose, more connection, and more opportunities to grow.

Here are 10 simple habits that make a big difference:

📌 No phones during meals and family time. 📌 Talk more. Text less.
📌 Play outside every day.
📌 Give children small responsibilities at home.
📌 Encourage creativity through art and crafts.
📌 Read together daily.
📌 Enjoy music as a family.
📌 Teach them to slow down with deep breathing and quiet time.

As a Parent & Teen Coach, I've seen that children are far less likely to become dependent on screens when they feel connected, capable, and included in family life.
