(Part 2) With all sincerity, the impression I got from that parable in my last post, became very much clearer.

The Lord was showing me that if I wanted to know whether the Catholic Church truly possessed the fullness of the faith and the truth I seek, I first had the responsibility to learn what the Church actually teaches.

How could I seek the truth about Catholicism from people who neither understood it nor believed it?

If I sincerely wanted answers, I had to begin by asking those who knew the faith from within, studying its teachings, praying, and seeking God with an open heart.

Only after honestly searching would I be in a position to judge whether I had found the truth or whether to proceed elsewhere as I was proposing.

That moment changed my life.

Instead of leaving, I began studying the Catholic faith more deeply than ever before. He kept directing me to various groups in the church where I could learn more. The more I searched, the more I discovered treasures I had never known existed.

This is not about looking down on anyone from another Christian tradition. It is about seeking the truth with fairness, humility, and honesty. Before we reject something, we owe it the respect of understanding it correctly.

That lesson has stayed with me ever since. I understood far more truths than I've written here. Do follow me as I would be sharing more of these insights. So many people who have left the Catholic Church left out of ignorance actually.

Some left because of another person's attitude, some left because they didn't try to understand better, some left out of pride to become their own master and director, etc.

The truth is that, if we seek the truth from our hearts, if we seek God with all our hearts, He'll lead us back to the Catholic Church inspite of all its challenges and seemingly incomprehensible realities.

Have you ever discovered that something you believed about the Catholic Church wasn't actually what the Church teaches?

I'd love to hear your experience. Please share this reflection with someone who is sincerely searching for the truth.

And remember as I related in that last post, when I had almost made up my mind to move outside the Church to other denominations in search of "the truth," the Lord impressed a simple parable upon my heart.

It goes like this:

A young boy was invited by a highly skilled craftsman to come and learn a trade. The invitation was genuine, but the boy was uncertain. "What if this isn't the right path for me?" he wondered.

Instead of speaking again with the craftsman or making further enquiries about the trade, the boy decided to seek advice elsewhere.

He walked into another workshop closeby and asked someone who knew very little about the trade he had been invited to learn.

The man he asked confidently replied, "Don't go there. You'll waste your time. You will end up only serving him and won't make it there. There's nothing good for you in that place." And many other confusing ideas to convince him not to return there.

The boy believed him.

He never returned to the craftsman.

He never discovered what he could have become.

He walked away from what might have been the very path God had prepared for him—not because he had examined it and found it wanting, but because he trusted the opinion of someone who had never truly known it.

Years later, he would discover that the invitation wasn't made to him alone, but to others like him as well. They all became really successful while he kept wallowing in his ignorance.

Now, how would you interpret this, knowing the context and the reason behind it all. I'll share my own interpretation in a subsequent post.

😃 Meanwhile, let me know your views and what your advice would be assuming I came to you then. And please don't forget to share.

It changed a decision that could have altered the course of my life.

I felt deeply disappointed by the whole situation then,

Looking back now, I realize that, that experience could have shaken my faith if I hadn't learned an important lesson from it. Today, I'd like to begin sharing that story with you.

In my previous post, I spoke about my journey of faith and promised to tell this story. So here it is.

This happened when I was about 10 or 11 years old. I grew up in a family that took the faith seriously. We prayed together, attended Mass every Sunday, and my parents welcomed each of their children as a gift from God.

As I grew older, I began asking difficult questions. Why did so many other churches criticize the Catholic Church? Why was there so much controversy surrounding the Blessed Virgin Mary? And there were many other questions that troubled my young mind. 🤪

I said to myself, "It's time to learn more than just what I was born into." I even considered joining another Christian denomination. But before making such a decision, I sincerely prayed and asked God to guide me to the truth.

Then, during that period of uncertainty, the Lord answered me—not through a physical vision, but through a deep interior conviction. He made me understand that I should not go anywhere. He used a simple parable to explain it in a way I could understand.

That parable completely changed how I viewed my search for truth.

But I'll save it for my next post because I don't want this one to be too long. 😊

Thank you for taking the time to read this. I truly appreciate your reactions, comments, and encouragement. They mean a lot.

Let me ask you: Have you once searched for truth ? Do you still wrestle with some questions of faith today?

I'd love to hear your story too. Sometimes, our journeys can strengthen someone else's faith.

Type "NEXT" in the comments if you'd like me to share the parable in my next post. Let's see if we can get 100 reactions to speed up the next part. 😜

Thank you for being part of this growing community of faith.

Now, listen to my story of faith. How my spiritual journey have evolved over the years. Do follow this page for more.

There was a time when I accepted almost everything I was told, taught, or shown as true.

But as I grew, I began to see things differently. I realized that not everything should be accepted at face value—even when it is presented in the name of God or by those called to teach in His name.

I discovered that God gave me a mind for a reason. I needed to seek Him personally, think more deeply, and understand the "why" behind every gesture and every article of faith.

That was when my real transformation began.

I came to realize that God has a unique lesson for each of us, according to how sincerely we seek Him.

Soon, I'll share the first lesson He taught me. The title is "How God Disappointed Me." Don't jump to conclusions just yet—you'll understand when I tell the story.

Would you like to hear it? Drop a 😳😳 in the comments or simply write, "Tell me."

Until then, stay with me. Let's reason together, learn together, and walk this journey of faith together.

God is always faithful and merciful.

Have you ever found yourself questioning or struggling to understand some articles of faith?
