Stoner - Doom and psychedelia from all corners of the planet.
Tripping Haze Ceremony, also known as THC, is a stoner/doom metal band from Selangor, Malaysia, that has earned a respected place within the underground heavy music scene. Initially formed as a one-man project in 2017 by guitarist and vocalist Epulyard, the band solidified as a power trio with the addition of Sara on bass and Lim on drums.
Their sound is characterised by slow, heavy, fuzz-laden doom that evokes classics of the genre such as Black Sabbath and Electric Wizard, but with their own unique personality. They use dense, drawn-out riffs, often at a slow-to-medium tempo, creating a dark and enveloping atmosphere. Sara's powerful bass lines and Lim's rhythmic drums provide a solid and electrifying foundation for Epulyard's aggressive and muscular guitars, which sometimes incorporate a psychedelic touch and melancholic vocals.
