Thought about this to post or not for some time, but I think it‘s important to show the bad side aswell.
As Instagram gets flooded with awesome extreme steep skiing it seems like everything goes nowadays, but it‘s still winter up high and it can get dangerous really quick.
I‘m happy that we chose the „easy“ descent with a big run out first and didn‘t go straight to the exposed stuff.
Additionally this is a really good example that a slope is NOT safe when there‘s a track in there!
The tricky thing with freeriding is that you never get the feedback how close you‘ve been to trigger an avalanche. went first and had a super nice descent and feeling good about the snowpack but a few meters beside his track it‘s totally different.
Luckily the crown of that avalanche isn‘t that high so there was not too much snow moving, but for sure on a exposed line it can drag you down.
Stay safe out there!
