My 7- year old daughter walked up to me yesterday and said, “mummy, I have a crush in my class.”

I Immediately asked her what she understands by the word “crush,” and she said, “when you like someone.”

Honestly I was surprised and I didn’t know how to react.
Part of me feels it may just be an innocent admiration,but I’m not sure how best to handle it at her age. Have any of you experienced this with your children? How did to respond? And what advice would you give me?
