What a magical opening of ICCAV 2024! 🌟

Yesterday the Moravski Chamber Choir enchanted St. Stephan with their angelic voices, putting on a delightful program. 🎶

We were happy to see so many visitors fill the church and collect generous donations which will benefit the choir and the people affected by the war currently raging in Ukraine.

A huge thank you to the Moravski Chamber Choir!

Presenting from Hungary 🇭🇺: Pax et Bonum Chamber Choir 🎶

The Pax et Bonum Chamber Choir was founded in 2008, its original members were teachers and students of a church musicians’ course of the Lutheran Church held every summer in Fót, a small town near Budapest.
The repertoire of the choir ranges from the Reneissance to contemporary choir pieces, focusing especially on protestant church music. There are several young Hungarian composers whose pieces were first performed by the Pax et Bonum Chamber Choir. The choir has been invited numerous times
abroad and had concerts in Transylvania, Slovenia, Germany, Sweden and the United Kingdom.
Since 2020, the choir has been led by Boldizsár Kiss.
At the 9th Zoltán Kodály National Choir Competition held between 18-20th November 2022, the Pax et Bonum won first prize in the category of chamber choirs, then ranked first among the winners of all the categories, thus winning the Grand Prix of the competition.
The choir also sang at a concert on 26th May 2023 at the Budapest Music Center during an international festival to mark the 100 year anniversary of the birth of György Ligeti.
