Themba Ngwenya Themba Ngwenya, better known by his stage name TeeCee, is a prodigious DJ hailing from Johannesburg. TeeCee's passion for music was evident from a tender age.

In 2004, while many of his peers were just beginning to explore music, TeeCee was already delving deep, amassing a vinyl collection in his basement. His early forays into the art of sound were shaped by house music legends such as Dj Fresh, Dj's@work (Christos & Vinni Da Vinci), Glen Lewis, Fisters Mixwell, and Ganyane. This foundation allowed TeeCee to seamlessly transition into working mobile gi

gs, including school dances, house parties, and weddings. TeeCee's innate ability to understand the pulse of the dancefloor and craft tracks that brim with energy and emotion has led him to share stages with industry titans like Black Coffee, DjTerrance, Mahoota, Vetkuk Oskido, Dj Sbu, Just Mo, Fingers, Cecil Mac, Shimza, and more. Apart from lighting up clubs and events with his electrifying sets, TeeCee champions emerging talent. He elevates underground producers by featuring their music not only in the club scene but also on prominent radio stations. His remarkable skills have echoed on airwaves, with features on stations like MetroFM and 5.FM, including appearances on "My House" with Euphonik and KB's weekend sessions. TeeCee's versatility is a hallmark of his craft. Whether it's Soul, Deep House, Techno, Afro Tech, Old School, or Collective House, his impeccable mixing and intuitive music selection have garnered acclaim. It's not just about the beats; for TeeCee, every track carries an emotion, a sentiment that resonates with his audience. An exceptional reader of his audience's mood, TeeCee consistently delivers sets that not only meet international standards but also guarantee an ecstatic response. The essence of his music is to evoke emotion, a sentiment echoed in his moniker. With a profound ability to gauge the environment and curate sounds that align with the crowd's mood, TeeCee ensures that audiences always yearn for an encore.

People Will Treat You How You Allow Them To

If people keep disrespecting you, it’s not just them, it’s you, too. Because you let it slide the first time. And then the second time. And by the third time, they knew you weren’t going to do anything about it.

People will only treat you as badly as you allow them to. If someone disrespects you and you stay quiet, you just taught them that it’s okay. If you keep taking back the same toxic people, you’re showing them that your boundaries are fake.

Stand up for yourself, or get used to being walked over.

Respect starts with you. If you don’t respect yourself enough to demand better, don’t expect anyone else to.

They Don't Hate You, They Hate That They Can’t Be You
Ever notice how some people start acting weird when you begin improving your life? They say, "You've changed" like it's a bad thing. They make passive-aggressive comments. They stop supporting you. But deep down, it’s not you they have a problem with.. it’s what you represent.

You remind them of their own wasted potential. You’re proof that it is possible to break free from excuses. And that bothers them. Because if you can do it, what’s their excuse?

Not everyone clapping for you is happy for you. Some people only like you when you're struggling because it makes them feel better about their own life. The moment you level up, their true feelings start to show.

Let them talk. Let them hate. Keep winning.

It's strange how people are quick to cheer for your pain, but grow silent when you start to win. Suddenly, your progress becomes “too much” or “you’ve changed.” The truth is… your growth triggers parts of them they haven’t healed yet.

They liked you when you were relatable, when your problems matched theirs. But when you started elevating, when you decided to want more, work harder, and dream bigger.. you became a reminder of what they’re not doing.

And it hurts, because you expect those closest to you to be your loudest supporters. But instead, you realize that your biggest wins will often be celebrated in silence — by strangers more than friends.

So what do you do?

You keep going.
You keep shining.
You keep building the life you deserve with or without the applause.

Because your journey is about purpose, not popularity

You’re Not “Unlucky,” You’re Undisciplined

People love blaming everything but themselves. “Life’s unfair.” “Nobody helps me.” “I never catch a break.” Nah. You’re just not consistent.

You say you want a better life, but you won’t even show up for yourself. You scroll for hours, binge shows, complain about gas prices, and call it a “hard day.” Meanwhile, someone out there is working two jobs, hitting the gym, and still chasing a dream, no complaints, just grind.

It’s not bad luck. It’s lack of effort, lack of focus, and too many excuses. Nobody's coming to save you. This country rewards action, not whining.

We all go through things. Breakups, setbacks, loss, failure, confusion, burnout. But life? It doesn’t hit pause for us to catch up. The days roll on, the sun rises, and people carry on with their lives. It can feel unfair sometimes, like the world should notice the weight you're carrying.

But in a strange way, that’s also a reminder of your power. Even when it feels like everything is falling apart, you still wake up, still breathe, still have a chance to try again.

No one has a perfect life. Everyone’s silently dealing with something. So take your time to feel, to heal, but remember that movement, even small steps, are what keep you alive inside.

Don't wait to feel 100% okay to start again. The world won’t wait—and you shouldn’t either.

They’ll Judge You Either Way, So Do What You Want

You don’t wear designer? “You’re broke.” You wear designer? “You’re trying too hard.”

You’re single? “You must be lonely.” You’re in a relationship? “You settled too fast.”

You work a 9-5? “You’re wasting your life.” You start a business? “That’s risky, what if you fail?”

No matter what you do, people will always have something to say. Some will support you, some will judge you, and some will sit on the sidelines waiting for you to fail.

So stop trying to please people who don’t even have their own life together. Do what makes YOU happy. The right people will support you, and the wrong ones were never worth your time anyway.
