Tshepo Morufane, better know as Soul Moru. Born in Polokwane, bred in Johannesburg, and now making moves in Burgersfort and surrounding areas, Soul Moru is a DJ whose heart beats to the rhythm of deep and soulful house. His love for the genre began in high school where he spent countless hours immersed in soul-touching sounds.
After varsity and learning the craft from a fellow DJ, he grew confident behind the decks and began captivating intimate spaces and small crowds alike. Soul Moru has graced stages across Johannesburg, Pretoria, Pietermaritzburg, Polokwane, Jane Furse, Burgersfort, and Botswana; delivering fluid, emotive, and irresistibly groovy sets.
Beyond the stage, Soul Moru curates his podcast ‘tones of deep and soulful house’ and is also part of a Jane Furse-based four man stable called Music n Friends; where he shares carefully crafted mixes and curates events for the growing community of listeners and attendees.
With a musical palette that stretches into alternative R&B, neo-soul, downtempo, broken beats, and jazz, Soul Moru seamlessly adapts to both laid-back lounges and dancefloors in full bloom.
