BREAKING NEWS: Street-pop singer Portable just got knocked out of the celebrity boxing rematch against Charles Okocha on Friday, but not in the way you think - he was disqualified for dramatically flinging himself out of the ring before the first round was even over at the Balmoral Convention Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos. The bout, tagged “Unfinished Business,” was supposed to be the rematch of their super controversial first fight, which Portable somehow managed to win. Portable seemed to be owning it early on, but things quickly descended into a ridiculous wrestling match, with the referee struggling to pry the two fighters apart. After the bell ended the round and security had to step in to restore order, Portable made his grand exit, and the crowd was not having it. Although he later decided to return to the ring, officials were all, “Nah, you’re good,” and disqualified him, handing the win to Okocha. Before the fight, Portable had said, “I am not happy, but I want God to make me happy and my family,” - guess that’s not happening today. The result is a pretty hilarious turnaround from their first meeting, where Portable emerged victorious and was all, “I’m gonna beat Okocha again in the rematch,” - yeah, not so much.
