From this Friday, 1st May 2026 Jazz House will replace Cafe Bijou in the 8pm Fridays time slot on 5MBS.

Many of the consistent bands from Cafe Bijou will continue to grace the airwaves and many new and exciting performers will also join Sister T and William in the Jazz House.

We have taken inspiration from the Montreal Jazz Festival (July) line-up for 26, to include Angine de Poitrine, along with Cecile McLorin Salvant, plus New Regency Orchestra and Little Simz - to name just a few of the artists to present in the Jazz House. Tonight is the finale of Cafe Bijou, originally a Smooth Jazz radio program on 5mbs that was started by Ashli in 2012. William & Sister T joined in 2022 and decided to devote the program to the Nu Jazz that we both enjoyed. Ashli is going to continue presenting Smooth Jazz programs with 5mbs but William & Sister T will be changing the name to Jazz House from May.
