Some places don't just hold history; they bring back memories.

Every time I visit this corner of the SA State Museum, I find myself back to my first year of teaching Senior High School. I was teaching Earth Science then, but many of the resources that could have brought the lessons to life, like these minerals on display, were unavailable. Back then, we relied on photos, imagination, and a lot of passion (under the sun).

Today's museum visit felt different. Earlier, I had the privilege of joining a teacher induction and tour of a public high school. Walking through its facilities reminded me of what every learner deserves: classrooms that inspire curiosity, resources that make learning real, and opportunities that allow both teachers and students to thrive.

It reminds me of the classrooms in Ph. And I dream of the day when every public school in the Philippines can provide the same kind of learning environment because our students deserve it.

Until then, I hold on to hope. Hope that the next generation will learn in classrooms and places where curiosity is nurtured, where teachers are well-supported, and where every child has the chance to discover the wonders of Science firsthand. May that day come sooner. 🇵🇭✨

PS: Students can go to the museum on excursions as part of their lesson planned by their teachers (with expenses covered by the taxpayers).

We gifted Apo his own digi cam last Christmas, so he can capture some of his favorite views. His SD card was full after our Kangaroo Island trip, and I have to clear and store it on my hard drive. I haven’t peek on his photos yet, but I’m sure those are all lovely.
