Peak moment of acknowledgment from the film industry in my doc career. Island of the Dead has been named a finalist in the Best Documentary/Factual Single category at the Australian International Documentary Conference. The AIDC Awards recognise outstanding works of new Australian documentary and factual content. Winners will be announced on the final night of the event in Melbourne next month. Very much an honour to be named alongside these amazing films and such talented filmmakers. I know Julie and Shona would be hugely proud right now. Island of the Dead premiered on Compass last year and is currently streaming on ABC iview. 2025 was a massive year for us, with over 2.5 million views of our documentary films across the nation that included two different programs produced for the ABC (and iview), and one each for NITV (and SBS on Demand), and Channel 44 (and CTV Plus).
