Walking the streets of Mougins with my bestest-gorgeoustest-one (as my Dad used to say). 🐾
Mougins is a beautiful provincial village atop a hill to the West of Nice. It attracts a lot of artists due to its history as the last residence of renowned painter Pablo Picasso.
Picasso bought a villa in Mougins for his second wife Jacqueline and spent the remainder of his life painting, sculpting and taking photographs there. It was the most prolific period of his career. He passed away at home in 1973 from a heart attack. He had painted until 3am the night before his death, demonstrating his love for his art right up until his death.
