CALIBRE MUSIC Records, Publishing, & Management, arrived on the music scene circa 1974 as the band support service "CALIBRE MUSIC Management & Promotion". The venture was created by Michael Box, starting out as a rehearsal studio for bands. At the time, Michael was lecturing in song-writing for WEA (Workers Education Association) and he saw the need for a songwriters education service. This need l
ed to the CALIBRE MUSIC SONGWRITERS SERVICE CMSS being started. This later morphed into the well-known organization in Australia SCALA, The Songwriters, Composers, and Lyricists Association, founded by Rob Childs. Michael also took on successful band management projects in the establishment years of Calibre Music. Currently on the label are :
